Re: Transfer Poll - Chris Gray
All of them take transfers. Transferring into mcintire can be done straight externally junior year. Doubt Mendoza is it, the requirements are very specific and it is highly unlikely many of the classes needed to be sufficiently on his way to a degree are completed by now. My pick is georgetown, I t...

Re: Transfer Poll - Chris Gray
Forgive me but is Emma Watson the girl from Harry Potter and was that used as a notable alum reference for an Ivy League school? I mean don’t get me wrong,I was quite aware of the “whens Hermainie turning 18 movement” but can’t imagine that’s enough for Gray, who could just transfer to a school in ...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
There seems to be a large discussion about why Hopkins fails to attract the best recruits. I don’t think anything about the university it’s is why recruits aren’t coming. I think the main issue is that Hopkins tends to over recruit and bring in 14+ kids in a recruiting class. That can scare away kid...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Just for the record - I am not opposed to smaller (in terms of height and weight) players - I do think there are positions - SSDM in particular - where you can't be a certain someone's size and be highly successful on a consistent basis. And all the players previously mentioned - Bitter, Sankey, Te...

Re: New England West-1 2019
Agree to some extent. I'd argue that Wick's and Bury's ultimate goal they set at the beginning of the season is the "mythical national championship". And with Wick's loss to Hill, that ultimate goal is very hard to fight back and earn. Hence, if they lose, it's not as big of a deal to the...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Let's hope the weather holds, I don't want to see this one go inside. On a different note, how bout little Pietramala's game against Gilman? Tremendous player. I must admit I've spent too much time thinking about little Petro's future career in college than it likely warrants. I do find it to be a ...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Random note but I just came across 2019 recruit Owen Murphy's highlights from his sophomore year of high school. These don’t have many views. He is definitely very talented, but he is playing against some weak competition and the video has poor editing. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/6938298/595311765...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
My one question, and I realize it's a bit late to even do anything about it, is about Darby. His numbers as you quote them, don't bear out those of a successful starting goalie in D1. In most situations those numbers would result in backup status. Having said that, is there nobody else on the roste...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
To make matters worse, one of our incoming midfield recruits (Cole Witman) recently announced he's playing at D2 Tampa instead. I have nothing against Cole Witman but why are matters worse? When Hopkins 2019 recruiting class stood at 20/21 kids - you had to know there was going to be attrition - ei...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Nothing like someone from the Harry Truman era telling current students what they should or shouldn't care about the things affecting their lives. Senior day on Sunday. Very likely the last time those guys will play a game on Homewood Field. Thanks to Marr, Kuhn, Jones, Foley, et al for their contr...

Re: Brown 2019
3. Daly does not have his first full recruiting class on campus yet. The players he has convinced to flip from other colleges to Brown: Aughavin, Grell, Enchill, Pike, Cook, Geppert, among others. Pretty solid. The incoming 2019’s by all account are impressive. It is hard to judge a coach until he ...

Umm 2021 recruit... I thought this was against the rules. Very interesting as it has been confirmed.

Looking forward to a great game this Saturday. So here is my opinion on the #1 subject when you play the BIG RED: THE TEAT SHUTOFF First and foremost is the pride us Big Red fans take in knowing that we have the type of player that commands this type of amazing respect and attention. I have said it...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
Sorry - I wasn't aware that any reference to Defense Conditions had to tie out with the official ranking by the United States military. I think the point was made - 0-3 would have been a big problem with the impending two games on the road. Narewski is the real deal, so I don't foresee a dominant P...

Re: Connecticut 2019 - Defensive Units to Watch
While I couldn't come up with 19 defensive units to watch in 2019, I think I can do a fair to middling job on what I feel are the four most impressive defensive units in CIAC lacrosse heading into the 2019 season. I won't claim to have seen every team, or be aware of every underclassman who could m...

Re: ISL Lacrosse
Inside Lacrosse released their preseason top 25, with St. Seb's checking in at 24. I'm not sure how well versed they are on the ISL, as to me Seb's looks like the 3rd or 4th best team in the league going into the season. This ranking is probably more of a sign of respect for the ISL as a whole than...

Re: PENN STATE 2019
PSU is really deep and scary this year, 18 guys registered a point in today's win. The biggest surprise thus far has got to be freshmen TJ Malone, he registered 5 points today and 3 goals last week. I’m excited to see him play. Crazy to think that he was originally committed to D3 Amherst College.
