Re: 2024 All-Americans

USA Lacrosse put out their list today. I'm sure as usual, no one will have problems with this list. https://www.usalacrosse.com/magazine/college/women/usa-lacrosse-announces-2024-division-i-womens-all-americans For the technically challenged: FIRST TEAM A — Erin Coykendall, Northwestern A — Isabell...

Here's where they were in the publications recruting rankings that were released before the season. They ranked the top 50 players, then listed the next best 50 players in alphabetical order. Re: Coaching Carousel 2024

Williamsburg is glorious, as is the W&M campus. I agree 100% that this program, given the academic profile of the school, proximity to lax hotbeds, and the ability to give athletic $$ sets them up for success. Hope it happens. The last time they went to the NCAA Tournament...2001 The last time ...

Re: Games Today

Penn leading Loyola 7 - 4 @ half Penn dominating. now 10 - 4, 7 min left in 3rd. 11-5 UPENN with 11 mins in 4th The contrast between the male and female announcers here is brutal. One yells, and talks over the other. The other gives intelligent commentary. Good game, and great effort by Penn. The m...

Re: Games Today

UMASS wins the UMASS BOWL with an 18-9 thumping of UMASS Lowell. Any idea how to watch SB game? For a pretty established program its always a challenge trying to watch their games  Most SB games are on FLO-Live, but I'm not paying a subscription to get that. I refuse to do so. The game tonigh...

Re: Penn at Yale Sunday afternoon on ESPNU

Anyone catch this game? The broadcast production was top shelf. Everything was chef's kiss great from the field mics to the camerawork, multiple angles, replays, shot clock display--the works. Thoughts on Charlotte North as a color commentator? I enjoy her apparent and excellent technical knowledge...

Re: Flops and FU Goals

Wait UConn ran out the shot clock up 15 with 10 secs left? But they had their subs in that never get to play. Shouldn’t one of them have tried to score? Basketball is different and you know it. When it comes to Lacrosse, when the reserves get in...let them play. They come to practice and they do wh...

Re: F&M 16, Salisbury 15 OT

This matchup shows why no lead is safe in this great game. Very fan friendly. The best move was to eliminate the shot clock in 2017 and 2018. Win the draw, score and repeat. it was a very entertaining game to watch. What surprised me was the shaky goaltending on both sides. I have seen many games t...

F&M 16, Salisbury 15 OT

I watched this game and it was ridiculous. Salisbury jumped out to a 2-0 lead on their Home Field. Suddenly the Diplomats went on a 5 goal run to take the momentum and a 3 goal lead. Then Salisbury got angry and went on a 7 straight goal barrage taking the lead and momentum back. They scored 8 of th...

Re: Syracuse 2024

I have one simple question : What the hell happened tonight? From 7-0 to losing in Double OT, I simply don't understand what I saw.
Did Cornell just WIN the game OR did The Orange just let that first quarter go to their heads and go Cruise Control for the rest of the game??

Re: Games Today

Let me preface this by saying I am a big UVA fan and have been for some time. Have watched as many of their games as possibly for those years and have seen several in person. They are playing inspired this year and I would assume the new coaching staff and the veteran leaders have a lot to do with ...

Re: New Programs

I looked over the DII and DIII top 20 rankings. I have always felt the top D3 schools are clearly better than the top D2 in the non-revenue sports. This applies to the girls from my area that have committed to play lacrosse in college from my perspective. The D3 schools seem to get the much better ...

Re: New Programs

Then gap between D2 and D3 is even greater than the gap between D1 and D2. This seems like a broad brush. I bet the better D3 girls might have something to say about the gap to D2. Many chose their D3 schools for academic reasons in addition to strong lacrosse programs. Not true. the top 3 or 4 D3 ...
