Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Link to IL with all girls currently in the portal https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/women-s-transfer-portal-tracker-cuocco-downey-humphrey-and-many-more/63570 I’m intrigued with where goalies Cuocco and Torres could end up. Both have proven track records and some higher ranked schools just gra...

Re: Men's D1 Lacrosse is Facing a Certain Death -- Women's is on the Ropes
Love the speculation, but we all really have no idea how this will all shake out. What about FCS schools like the patriot league. Then you have the Ivy’s that don’t give athletic scholarships. What about Hopkins and their unique situation? Too many unknowns until the dust begins to settle.

Re: Thank God for the Shot Clock in College
What section are you in? Do you know what the details will be for girls? Scoreboards on both ends of football fields are unusual in NJ and some are too far away from the field to serve as shot clocks. At least they would be less than ideal. Just checked my records. 12 of the 47 HS games I've seen i...

Re: Thank God for the Shot Clock in College
Wow! I wasn't aware of that. Doing some quick reading it looks like the HS shot clock in NY will be allowed (as noted) on a section by section experimental basis for the next two years. Haven't been able to find what the girls details would be. Sounds like some sections may have already approved fo...

Re: Thank God for the Shot Clock in College
New York State approved the use of shot clocks for the 2025 season. It’s up to each section on whether they want to use it or not, but I know of a few that will be. Most schools around here already have play clocks for football games, so they just need an operator.

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
Well, I guess we are back to square one. We disagree. Yes, it was an athletic move to kick her leg out after it was clear the shot had beaten her stick. That was the “good” part of the save. But she was also lucky the ball hit her shin. The bottom line is she made the save. Whether you think it was...

Re: National Championship — Northwestern vs. Boston College
As a goalie parent it can get frustrating to hear how quickly quickly people want a goalie change. At the same time, if the offensive star has missed their first 5 shots, everyone says just keep shooting

For the Dolce haters earlier, she has a higher save percentage after 3 quarters than Laliberty

May 24 — Semifinals 3 p.m.| (1) Northwestern vs. Florida 5:30 p.m.| (2) Boston College vs. (3) Syracuse I have to think about it a bit, but I am today skeptical that these will be competitive, in the sense of one-goal games and the risk of overtime, etc. I was impressed with Florida when they beat ...

Navy (#22 RPI) 8-1; 15-4, lost in overtime in PL final Duke (#31 RPI) 4-5; 10-8; blown out in 1st round of ACC tournament And Navy has the head-to-head. Brutal selection, just shows how much the criteria are stacked toward the power conferences. Navy had strength of schedule at 45 compared to Duke ...

Syracuse over UVA 15-14. BC over Notre Dame 13-12. Can't wait. Wow, am thinking along the same lines. UVA looked mighty good to me in their last game (v UNC) and I didn't think Cuse was at their finest in theirs (1 of 4 on FPSs, out GBed by 5, just missed GBs they normally don't), gonna have to sha...
