Re: #8 Georgetown vs Penn State Sunday @ 2:30
Not surprised by this result whatsoever. Penn State came out firing, but people need to realize that Georgetown is built different this year. So much for Penn State being better at every position and winning by five goals I guess? Not really interested in grave dancing, but very typical for Georget...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Incredible game by the Hoyas today in front of a packed Cooper field crowd. Very impressed by the way they bounced back following a sluggish start. Credit to coach Warne for making phenomenal adjustments and calling good timeouts to stop the bleeding when PSU went on runs. Anderson Moore was outstan...

Re: #8 Georgetown vs Penn State Sunday @ 2:30
Leave it to Hopkins fans to make this thread about themselves somehow, but back to the subject at hand. Lord give me the confidence of a PSU fan who just watched their team get slapped around by Michigan a week before the big dance. Make up all the excuses you want about why and how it didn’t count,...

Re: Georgetown 2024
What's the take on next Sunday? Were the two overtime wins in BET a sign of the Hoyas hitting a wall? Or is that just playoff lacrosse? Defense back closer to form in the second half against Nova with Moore emerging from his mini-slump with a couple of clutch saves. Have teams figured out how to pl...

Re: Georgetown 2024
That was one of the more stressful games in recent memory. Georgetown did everything in their power to lose that game and still came out with the victory. Suppose you could say great teams win on their worst days - this would be that. That said, love seeing AC step up and be the guy when it mattered...

Re: Big East 2024
Georgetown wins 14-13 in OT. Aidan Carroll with 7 goals (including GWG). Georgetown got physical and Providence couldn’t possess in the 4th. Hats off to the Friars on a great season. They’re continuing to improve year by year with Benson and Co. Villanova vs Georgetown in Big East Final on Saturday...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Strong showing last night only letting up one goal in the entire second half. Most importantly, Georgetown made hustle plays throughout the game that are characteristic of championship winning teams. Two plays that stood out were Moore and Shubert diving for end lines late in the game when the victo...

Re: Georgetown 2024
How are we feeling for this weekend? Seems like the game will come down to faceoffs, and the Greek fella for DU is pretty good. If we can keep it 50/50 then it’s G’town by a goal or two, but that could go either way. Feels like the most balanced matchup in recent years, and Denver will likely play w...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Weird game. Another tight one with Marquette is nothing new. To win 11-8 and lose virtually every face off says a lot about this team. Defense played a lot of minutes and still holding a team to 8 goals is impressive. Moore good bounce back game. Offense was balanced and patient vs a largely zone d...

Re: Way too early Final Four
If I may, I’d like to throw Georgetown into the conversation here. They graduated a lot last year and started out sleepwalking, but the early struggles have galvanized this team and their depth is impressive. Defensively they have an established rope unit backstopped by an AA caliber freshman goalie...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Great win by the Hoyas tonight against a tough Richmond squad. Vardaro really hitting his stride and Moore continues to shine. Each week I am more and more impressed with the freshman in between the pipes, no pun intended. Admittedly, I was a little nervous about all the time off for spring break, b...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Defense + Moore looks lockdown. Great game from Halpert. Still would like to see more from offense in transition and unsettled. Sometime feels like they are a little too careful. Maybe that will loosen up over the season. Second midfield coming on strong! Overall, good win for the Hoyas! Agree on a...

This thread a lot less quiet after the past couple wins - glad to see the fair weathers have crawled out of their holes just in time. This thread a lot less quiet after the past couple wins - glad to see the fair weathers have crawled out of their holes just in time. It’s great to have everyone back. As I said after the Hoyas opened up slow - these guys will take time, and they have all the pieces of the puzzle to be great. This i...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Great win to get the Hoyas back on track. Like I said after the Loyola loss - this team will take some time to figure itself out. No one wins championships in February, so can’t get too up or down in the first three games. There are plenty of athletes on this roster, and we have a lot to be excited ...

Re: Georgetown 2024
Woof. Brutal effort and not how you want to start off a season. Obviously some growing pains with the loss of senior leadership, but felt a lot like the first couple games of ‘23 today. Still a lot of season left and way too early to write this team off, so let’s leave the pitchforks in the garage ...
