Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Agree. Its kind of strange, but outside of ND, I think the #1 thing stopping the ACC is coaching (I dont think Duke, UVA, or Cuse are very disciplined) How are those 3 teams not disciplined? Cuse generally has a stretch where they lose their minds, make bad turnovers. Even Cuse fans say that UVa de...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
UVA's high-end talent (Shelly) is superior but after that I think the teams are fairly evenly matched in terms of talent. Hop had 6 All-Americans this year to UVA's 5, and is probably a bit deeper in general (especially at midfield on both sides of the ball). But...they don't have a Shellenberger. ...

Re: 2024 Bracketology
so with the acc's getting 4 in and put in different brackets this time, we have 4 acc vs. ..... given everyone's obsession with conferences and related sports radio-speak, between fanlax, lax media and lax twitter, how many heads explode if we get acc tourney redux? don't consider it very likely, bu...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024
Ty Xanders @tyxanders @BrownU_MLAX’s HC vacancy has been narrowed to four candidates, according to multiple sources. All four have been head coaches at some point. If Xanders is right JK is not a candidate there. I have to think it's petro or cassese. benson maybe due to proximity too. Assume Casse...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
I, for one, am just glad the PLL draft is over with. I may be in the minority, but I don't care about Carc's big board draft prospects. I'm interested in watching the college teams compete for a championship, not hearing about how this player or that player will fit into a pro scheme here or there....

Re: NCAA Playoff/ Championship Attendance
I’m taking son as a Xmas gift but for now. He asked me if they ever have any pickup games around the stadium. I told him he could “pick up those expensive tickets I bought for him and hand them to the person at the entrance. I bought championship game tickets a while back and they were cheaper for ...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
Curiously, this is the last game of the weekend. Is it traditionally so to have #3 vs #6 as the last game or is someone trying to drum up ratings for earlier games? it's always about ratings. just hope maryland doesn't win if the hoos do, as they'll then get the late game next saturday with no shot...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
Bit of a deeper dive on the faceoffs issue. When the teams played during the regular season, JHU had a 20-14 advantage against a Virginia team missing its top 2024 FOGO, Anthony Ghobriel. Last year, when Ghobriel was playing for Navy, he did well but didn't dominate against Hop FOGOs Callahan and D...

I can see the future...2025..another cupcake season for a cupcake league yawn. dude, you just got here. this is a lacrosse community site. we don't all get along all the time, but we try to at least be civil most of the time and occasionally have something to add. not for nothing, but you're about ...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Fair to look at it this way and looking forward to another fun weekend. Anyone can have a down day, truthfully I think the youth of tufts will be exploited in the environment they’re coming down to. It’s not an easy environment for anyone let alone 19&20 year olds(younger squad). You need some ...

Re: UNC 2024
2025 Heel will be a top-ten team: I'm booking it right now. They will make big moves in the transfer portal and Duffy and Dom having a full year under them will only make them more deadly with chemistry. Also, I think this makes Matan move back to his natural position as that third attackmen and ho...

Re: ivy league 2024
What's interesting to me about the 2022/24 Ivy debate is that there was a ton of righteous focus on the RPI in 2022 and not this year. The RPI was as flawed then as today. In any case, did the Ivies deserve all those teams in 2022? Absolutely not and the committee's circular reasoning showed as muc...

Re: All Americans 2024
At the end of the day USILA list is the one that matters anyway. Why? Submitted by college coaches and goes to a committee. Not a bunch of guys who have never played college lacrosse. USILA also gives out the Enners, Schmeisser, etc. it’s the “official” list Do you think USILA is above the politics...

Dumb question here but... does anyone know if the only option to buy tickets for the games at Towson through Ticket Master? I went through the NCAA lax site and that is what came up but the lowest price for a single ticket was $99. Thanks in advance. towson is hosting. hit "buy tickets here&qu...
