Re: New programs
I think the only drawback I would see for Point Park right now would be facilities. Looks like their soccer team plays at Highmark stadium which is where the USL team plays. Not sure the Riverhounds would like lacrosse lines and extra usage on their field in the middle of their season, so I'm guessi...

Re: 2024 Scores
Willy P takes the defending champs to OT. Are they for real, or is Keiser down this year? 3 games in 3 days is no joke, but surprised how close all 3 were for them.

Re: Teams on the verge of something....
Maybe I'm a bit of a homer here, but always thought Mary Washington could make some serious noise if they had the right pieces in place. Thought the program turned the corner in 2014 when they made the tourney and nearly upset Cabrini, but it's been mediocrity and below ever since. In the early 2010...

Re: Scrimmages 2024
Belmont Abbey over Limestone thru 3 quarters 4 and 5th were mainly subs. LU defense has some major struggles. BA had whatever they wanted on the crease. LU offense clicks when they have the ball. FO will be key for LU going forward but not a strong showing this day. Lot coming back for LU and BA se...

Re: CLC 2024
In all seriousness, the handbook states WWC will be joining in 2024. Do they mean fall of 2024 considering none of the conference teams have them scheduled? It's also strange when you look at their other sports that they don't really schedule other C2C opponents. For instance their basketball progra...

Re: CLC 2024
They're a member of the C2C, but I never heard that they got an invite to the CLC. None of the teams in the conference have them on the schedule this year

Good luck to coach Smith. Hopefully he can resurrect a once prideful program...

Re: Lacrosse Documentaries
I really enjoy The Rebuilding Year documentary that Roanoke put out on the 2011 season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePJ9hEE0G38&t=196s Admittedly I do just love to replay the 1:57 mark watching Richie Fords overtime winning goal which could be argued as one of the most iconic goals in NCAA D...

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
Interesting that the St. Andrews wlax job was filled already. What's more interesting is given this coach's background you would think he'd be better suited for mlax... I wonder if the AD is going to pull the classic coach both teams approach here soon if they want to keep the mens program. https://...

Re: New Programs
Agreed. Not suggesting they'll be national championship contenders right out of the gate because of some transfers. It's just refreshing to see a new NAIA program that looks like it's able to bring in decent talent and be competitive. Too often we see obscure new NAIA programs start up only to field...

Took a quick look at Life's instagram. Looks like they hit the transfer portal hard and brought in some D1 and D2 guys. Curious to see if they rise to the Top 10 fairly quickly...

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
Anyone hear anything on St Andrew’s coach search? The posting doesn't show as active, so one of two things happened. They either have a coach and haven't announced it yet, or are discontinuing fielding a mens lacrosse team... Given their current financial position, I wouldn't be shocked of the latt...

Re: NAIA 2023 Rumors
Looks like he's at Belmont Abbey (NCAA D2) now https://opendorse.com/profile/christian-tomei Second year in a row that Keiser has a 1st class goalie, then he leaves for a D2 school. Two years ago was Cole George who went to Post and now Tomei to Belmont Abbey. You wonder if that's something that Ke...

Kyle Hannan at Goucher went back and is coaching there after coaching in the D1 & D2 ranks for a few yearsOld&InTheWay wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:45 am Wasn't Rogers coach at Cortland before? Curious....How many coaches have gone back to their old schools and coached? Where does Utica go now?

Re: Coaching Carousal
Wow, no more Chris Ryan. Erie is a tough place to sell, so it will be an interesting applicant pool. But obviously Ryan proved you can build a consistent contender at Mercyhurst. Team seems to returning a good chunk with AA's Gleason, McCard, Morley and Landymore. So the cupboard isn't bare for the...
