Re: SAA 2024

Sewanee improves to 5-0 in the SAA after a gritty win vs Rhodes and, for a second year in a row, is on a collision course with Centre for the chance to host the tournament. Sewanee vs Centre, Perun vs Croft, Selner vs Caldwell, Crain vs Robbins. Get your popcorn ready. Both SAA Bluebloods have been ...

Re: SAA 2024

Wow. Would you look at that, Sewanee starting 5-0, the only team in D3. Wouldn’t be surprised to see some top 20 votes in this week's poll. Perun was automatic going almost 70% from the X this weekend. The stud midfield duo of De Von Root and big-bodied Massachusets native Niko Maheras came in clutc...

Re: SAA 2024

Gimmee.... BSC by a decent margin. Their offense is going to be too much for Piedmont. Hampden Sydney by 8. Rhodes is not in the same tier and Hampden Sydney is on a roll. Centre in a 1-2 goal game. Sewanee to go 2-0 this weekend. Yes, the back-to-back might be hard for Sewanee but lefty attackman Z...

Taking the coach with 40 career wins vs over 300...?

Re: Teams on the verge of something....

I think a few teams in the SAA are on the verge... Rhodes, Sewanee, and Centre all could make that leap in the next year or so. Multiple first-round tournament wins out of the conference and it is only getting stronger.

Re: SAA 2024

On another note - look out for stud freshman Manoli Loupassi (all-name team). After a week he's been added to Creasecranker's SAA newcomer of the year watch list, which includes Josh Tamarkin of BSC.

Re: Game of the Week; Lynchburg vs Gettysburg

I don't think this one is close. Lynchburg is my sleeper favorite to win it all. I like Finn Schmidt to drop at least 3 and arguably the best D-Mid in college lacrosse, Luke Meadows to shut down the Gettysburg midfield. I like the Hornets 14-6

Re: SAA 2024

Looking at SAA schedules... Does anyone know why Berry scheduled Salisbury and CNU? Or, more interestingly, why would they schedule Berry? Seems like a waste with both sides knowing what the outcome will be. On the opposite side, Centre and Sewanee have rather weak out of conference schedules.

SAA 2024

The SAA looks to be very competitive this year. Centre, Sewanee, and Rhodes are very evenly matched. The Sewanee defense might put them over the top this year. They have the best D in the league. It looked impenetrable, led by Joe Orem.
