Re: ISL
likely finish at 7-4 Middlesex Nobles Milton Thayer RL Rivers A look at the final week for these teams. Middlesex (6-3) @ Belmont Hill 5/8, vs. Govs 5/11. The Zebras just need one win, but that won’t be easy. If MX is among some teams from the list above to stumble to a 6-5 finish, they have good t...

I'll believe it when I see it up and running, but apparently Deerfield at Nobles @ 6:00 today will be streamed. https://twitter.com/Deerfield_Lax/statu ... 1370787887

Re: ISL
Thanks porkchop. I’ve said it many times over the years but BH’s record in 1-2 goal games is phenomenal. Obviously they always have great talent, but they also just don’t blink.. The most striking thing to me is the complete 180 they have pulled from the patient deliberate game to up tempo/push tra...

Re: ISL
Middlesex close with Belmont Hill and Govs, with Govs potentially still having a shot at the second seed (I don't know how tiebreakers work). I could see the Zebras falling to 6-5. Assuming Seb's win out (not a given with Nobles on Friday) it'll be interesting to see who gets the tougher draw betwee...

14-12 Belmont Hill. Saw this on Twitter. Would love some color from anyone who caught it live.

Belmont Hill @ St. Seb's at 5:00: The must see game of the (regular) season that sadly I won't be able to watch live. Should be a great atmosphere in Needham. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mZfVCFCZYg

Re: ISL
Making an educated guess on #1 (which will be announced tomorrow) here is a recap of the Bostonlax top 100 players. 50-100 were done alphabetically, and 1-50 ranked specifically. Always an interesting list. It’s a little odd because I assume it’s compiled preseason, but since it’s released during th...

Re: ISL
Belmont Hill 13 - Nobles 12: BH held a 13-8 lead but the Dawgs made it interesting. St. Seb's 14 - Tabor 3: 4-1 at the half but the Arrows blew it open in the third quarter. Govs 10 - Milton 9 (OT): Govs should be favored in their three remaining games and look to have a top four seed all but wrappe...

Re: ISL
Some real good ones today. Belmont Hill (7-0) @ Nobles (5-2): The hottest team in the league hosts the most consistent one, with probably the top two faceoff guys in the league squaring off. Tabor (3-4) @ St. Seb's (7-0): The playoffs effectively start today for Tabor as a loss puts them in a perilo...

Re: ISL
I would be willing to bet it becomes a really tough week for Sebs and Nobles, who has been bested by BH much more often than not in the past 15 years. That's fair (though BH has the longest title drought of the three), I more just meant to rivalry games in 48 hours would be tough. To me they're coi...

Re: New England West 2024
I suspect that Salisbury fielded an underclass and mostly JV team against Hotchkiss and (as I said before) Hotchkiss has one or two Playa’s, so against a JV squad, they’ll stand out. Props to the Crimson Knights for giving their reserves an opportunity to play a competitive game with Varsity rules ...

Re: ISL
Two huge games on the horizon with Nobles hosting Bel Hill on Wednesday and then Seb's hosting Bel Hill on Friday night at 5:00 pm. The latter matchup is one of the best rivalries in all of New England sports. The "get back coach" for Seb's will have his hands full keeping the student bod...

Re: ISL
Thanks CO. This post may be a little redundant, as I was typing it before I saw your thoughts, but I don't feel like editing  . Nobles 17 - Thayer 4: This is a scary result for the rest of the league, as Nobles appear to be firing on all cylinders. According to the Nobles Twitter account it loo...

Re: ISL
A quick look at the contenders (as well as their remaining games) after six rounds of league games, and a few important weekend matchups. Crazy how fast the season goes by. 1a. Belmont Hill (6-0)- They’ve had some close games but just like every year, their record in 1-2 goal games is great. Losing ...

Re: New England West 2024
Thank you for your insight, Dawgie. Even though I'm a Rhino since way back, I am becoming a Pelican fan. They were pretty darned good last year, and this year Coach Ball seems to be getting the most out of a talented squad. One can't help but admire that accomplishment. I'm posted up in Palm Spring...

As much as I find the trolling to be exhausting, I have to tip my cap to dubbing Trinity and their supporters the BanTHEY/THEMs. Just a fantastic bit of writing.
