Re: NESCAC
Predictions for tmrow? Wes 18-14 (Jumbos throw a game so they don't go into RIT undefeated) Midd 17-8 (Colby = the cure for special teams woes) Hamilton 16-10 (Has Trin ever won B2B conference games?) Amherst 15-13 (Williams is a very solid team that has been singlehandedly derailed by its performa...

Re: ODAC 2023
No one is disputing Greensboro, southern Virginia and Ohio northern are not good opponents. CPU programs enthusiasts create are cool and all, but when you look at the number of USILA top 20 teams in both OOC schedules, W&L has 4 and HSC has 3. Lynchburg has 6 - that was mainly my point. At the ...

Did not qualify and should not ever be considered as part of a very serious Division 3 lacrosse blog discussion about championship contenders: -Denison I think Big Red has a solid chance to run the balance of their 2023 schedule into May . Depending on the new bracket system they could have a decen...

Re: NESCAC
I’m far from a Tufts fan but do find this data interesting (albeit not really rooted in fact, metrics can be useful though) https://masseyratings.com/clax/ncaa-d3/ratings The Massey ratings for lacrosse would show Tufts is far and away ahead of the pack. When mixed with D1 teams the computer projec...

Re: 2023 FanLax Forum Poll
People have long argued that the difference between the North and South is “The South plays Defense.”
I would argue the proper characterization is “The South does not play Offense.”

Re: 2022 D3 NCAA Tournament Bracket
Thought Tufts would win, but man…that was a complete blowout. Made SJF look like a very average team for sixty minutes. Mason Kohn suddenly taking the majority of the draws at X and dominating is a wrinkle that most probably didn’t see coming. Curious as to why he wasn’t more of a factor earlier in...

Re: 2022 D3 NCAA Tournament Bracket
I am going to say Cabrini rolls W&L. How did W&L even get in the tournament? They got smoked by a Catholic team that had to win their AQ to get in the tournament and only have one good win in beating Lynchburg. You could make an argument that Hampden Sydney should deserve to be in over them...

Re: NESCAC
When did Tufts switch to a zone scheme on defense? Seems to have made a difference in the last several games. Were they a zone team when they played Union and Midd? I don’t think it’s their primary set, but they’ve been mixing it in and it’s been really effective. Thought it gave Bowdoin tons of pr...
