Re: UVA 2024
I wonder how far our RPI will fall because we won. Will we now be in a play-in game? {sarcasm font off}

Re: UVA 2024
The one position where UNC has a clear advantage is FOGO. What percentage of face-offs does Wambach have to win to give UNC a legitimate chance of an upset? I doubt he’ll be able to hit 70%, but if he can win 60%, can the Heels pull it off? Harvard almost won until UVA started to win face-offs in t...

Re: UVA 2024
James Madison (and ODU to a much lesser extent) is on the rise in UVA’s backyard. Watching to see their impact on UVA, VT , UMD and even PSU recruiting. Recruiting higher academic profile football and basketball players doest’t work if you’re not winning. JMU could take a bite out of UVA’s bottom l...

Re: Predict The Next Major Universities To Get DI Lax Programs
You can probably remove Florida State from any projections for a D-1 men's team. They announced in October that they will field a women's team in the 2025-26 school year. They were long rumored to have a sugar daddy who would pay for both teams if they could get the Title IX numbers to work. I guess...

Lars Tiffany for UVA. He took over a declining program and missed the NCAAT his first year. Second year took them back to the tournament but lost to Loyola in the first round. Next season opened with at Loyola and finished as NC, beating the defending NC. Covid wiped out the next year. Won the NC a...

Re: Best player in your schools history
UVA debate will be a good one... Agreed... UVA’s best player of all time is likely a current player, Connor Shellenberger. I’ve head a few Hoo alum who are otherwise in this discussion admit that. If you had to take another name because current players can’t be considered, I guess I’d go with Steel...

Re: Virginia 2023
Virginia gets very little love on these boards, but they’re absolutely pasting Richmond (which really is no surprise; in spite of Richmond’s record, they’re not all that solid this year). To stop Virginia, you better have three VERY good defensemen and one very good FOGO. I see only two teams capab...

Re: NCAA reorg imminent
Hearing some strong chatter from people inside ACC athletic departments that UVA, UNC, FSU and Clemson are likely heading to the SEC . If that does come about then then we could see ACC lacrosse fizzle out. Obviously they don’t have an AQ so it doesn’t really effect them but it would be sad to see ...

Re: Why is there no Boston College Mens Varsity lacrosse?
Georgia Tech probably has the best MCLA team of the ACC schools. They've been to a number of Final 4s. They also have Title IX room, but the athletic department is continually broke. In the last year VPI had a varsity, UVa beat them 27-0. The ACC doesn't need a 6th team as much as it needs a 7th tea...

Re: Maryland v. Virginia
Today reminds me of the dialog between Generals Sherman and Grant at Shiloh -
Sherman approaches Grant, smoking a cigar in the rain under a tree.
“Well, Grant, we've had the devil's own day, haven't we?"
Grant looks up. “Yes.” (Puff.) "Yes. Lick 'em tomorrow, though."

Re: UVA at UNC
What does any of this have to do with the UVa/Heels game? Why suddenly decide to start trashing UVa on a thread about the UVa/UNC game? Do moderators moderate here or no? Forget it, rasheed. It's a UVa thread. The rules are different here (just like they were on Laxpower). [youtube]=https://www.you...
