Re: IL Preseason Media Poll

It was a little bit lazy when the voters not only chose last year’s champ as the #1 preseason pick, but also kept the entire top 5 where those teams finished in the postseason 2023 poll. The two biggest moves from that poll to this new one were Syracuse climbing 9 spots from #18 to #9 and Georgetown...

Re: *POWER* Conferences

New to the NCAC group, as my son will arrive next Fall. Had interest from a number of the "power conferences", but just loved the Keyon coaching staff, and the opportunity to compete that the NCAC provides. I think the NCAC has amazing momentum going forward, and the non-conference teams ...

Re: Boston College

'23 Fall Recap I know there are at least a few followers here interested in what’s happening with BC lax, so here are a few notes from fall ball.… Long, busy summer for coach AWW and crew. I’m told early fall practices and conditioning were all business. By all accounts, returning players, transfer...

Re: NESCAC

Aside from the silliness of some arguments here, there is a pretty interesting discussion around the talent level of the NESCAC vs. the bottom half of D1 programs. If you think about a quadrant with the X axis being academic reputation and the Y axis being lacrosse success, the upper right square is...

Re: NESCAC

Don’t discount the possibility that laxdad is merely perpetuating a long-standing bias against those from western Poland. The villagers of Chlastawa are looked down upon by all the smarty-pants residents of Warsaw and Kraków. So what if those elitists can count past 10 with their shoes on? They woul...

Depends on how many Duke transfers end up at Bates.

Re: NESCAC

Trinity picked up three D1 transfers this year from Bryant, Rutgers and UMBC. Stevens, Salisbury, RIT and Babson have all been active in the portal, grabbing D1 guys. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/di-men-s-transfer-portal-tracker-2023/61686 I have no idea how difficult it is to transfer int...

Re: NESCAC

First time visiting Colby's athletics website this morning. Never really had a reason to. The HAARC. O.M.G. Incredible. It is pretty jaw-dropping, especially for a school of only 2,300 students. https://colbyathletics.com/sports/2020/10/8/harold-alfond-athletics-and-recreation-center Bernhardt has ...

It looks like Ty is moving on from Inside Lacrosse: https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/xanders-thank-you-inside-lacrosse/62216 He hasn't announced where he is going, but it sounds like he is taking a similar opportunity somewhere else. This is a good thing. There's not much money in lacrosse me...

Re: Brown 2024

For starters, the LT “recusal” is a really bad look. Yes, he has a right to earn a living, but there was no need to hide behind KC. Just say: Hey, I’m trying to win. I’m a super competitive guy and my job depends on it. Whether or not UVA was in fact always the dream school of HH, my guess is that t...

Re: LA 2028

I’m conflicted about the sixes being in the Olympics. I guess I am 51% for and 49% against. Don’t like the bastardized version of the game one bit, but you take what you can get. Also, isn’t this simply an exhibition sport of the type that the host country gets? Unless I miss my bet, this is one an...

Re: Syracuse 2024

I think its great for the game to have a competitive Cuse team  But I think they are at least another year away. With the schedule they play, I'm not sure where I see the additional wins until they can win more face-offs or stop teams from scoring. I hope to be wrong, but if they play the same sche...

Re: 2025 Recruitment

I was looking at the IL class rankings. I little surprised by the results.. Teams with 8 blue chips (4star and above) 1. ND - 11 (4 5 stars) 2. UNC- 9 (3 5 stars) 3. Michigan - 9 4. Hopkins - 8 5. Penn State - 8 It will obviously change, but Michigan and PSU being in there is surprising.. (Yes, I k...
