Re: Transfer Portal 2025
Interesting, very skilled finisher. He has I guess 2 years of eligibility (2021 COVID year and one more real year). Think he graduated Bowdoin. This would be his last year in 2025. Looks like your correct... Played in 2022, 2023, and 2024 at Bowdoin. 1 year left. Whoops, you are right, had a brain ...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS
Pre-Covid, correct me if I'm wrong, we didn't have the volume of transfers in NCAA lacrosse like we have now, right? It's like Zoom calls and transfers skyrocketed. Most certainly not. D3, through some horrific decision making, granted 2! extra COVID years for all players enrolled in 2020. Next yea...

Re: NESCAC
From Twitter, both DJ Dixon of Wes and Will Byrne of Bowdoin going to Michigan next year. Exciting news for the Nescac. Both have D1 size and skills so hoping they make an impact. Congrats to them. https://x.com/tyxanders/status/1792942363930775569 Interesting on Dixon! Before the season started th...

Re: SF #6 Virginia vs #7 Maryland Saturday @2:30
If you can time the backup right, full length shot in face of active 10 man, empty net is a fantastic option that teams should do more of. I usually don’t like tinkering with the rules but that desperation full length fling to no one should be possession to the other team if not caught or on cage. ...

Yes, or at least looking to transfer out. You can still return after placing your name in the portal, though I imagine that could be somewhat awkward at times.

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
You just know he killed the groundhog   He absolutely butchered the groundhog. You could almost literally see the wheels spinning in his head when he said he went out there with a shovel and (…..oh crap, this is really not going to go over well if I finish this story) “scares” it away wit...

This is all BS. You have no f'n clue what you are writing about. I thought you were leaving this forum? Whoa. Relax pal, I’m not the only one that sees this stuff. There is a reason he is disliked by many, and it isn’t because of all his championships. Sit back, watch a game and do some self reflec...

Re: W&L 2024
I do not see it as an excuse from where I sit but I am sure we had to play harder to keep up with Tufts pace which is much faster than ours so there is that. In fact, if we had won more FOs, who knows what the outcome would have been, and we may have had a better chance to be honest but Spano has h...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS
D3: players were given TWO years of eligibility due to 2020 being canceled and 2021 being a crapshoot (some teams playing a normal season and some teams playing 4) D1: Players were only given ONE year due to the pandemic. D3 to D1 transfers like Boyden do in fact have another year. Correct, but I t...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS
who can clarify. D3 kid that plays 4 years (21,22,23,24) still has one more year of eligibility, but only at D3. correct? these players can’t transfer to D1 and claim his extra year. But a D1 kid during that same time, has maxed out at D1 eligibility, and can transfer to D3 and take advance of that...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS
Transfers used to be some kid from MD feels like he's not getting a fair shot at SU so he transfers to UMD. Which became a kid from LI plays for 3 years at BU, tears it up, and then transfers to UNC for his senior year to see if he can win a national c'ship. Today it's a far cry from these two scen...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Since COVID BS will be done by his senior year even for D3 and there will be no more “grad years”, you wonder, now that transferring has become such a routine part of college sports, whether he and players like him will seek D1 for a senior year or stuck it out with his team. Would certainly prefer...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
Corrigan was HC at Notre Dame 34 years before winning!!!! “Maybe some folks had doubts”???? There are a very, very small handful of true difference making coaches. There is then a larger tier of very good coaches who can with a NC if they put the right team together. After 34 years, Corrigan did tha...

Re: W&L 2024
Congrats to W&L for a great year, always fun when they are good. Agree it is crazy to play B2B with so much at stake, would have been probably the most impressive feat ever seen in D3 if they could have beaten Salisbury and Tufts over two days.
