Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Been a minute ah23. Shaping up for a good weekend of lacrosse. Any games you're looking forward to or have an eye on for upsets? Probably most interested in Babson-Denison and Swarthmore-Endicott for R2. Three upstarts and a traditionally successful program in matchups we would never get to see oth...

Re: Liberty League 2024
A couple of fun storylines in what is otherwise an unnoteworthy SLU v Plymouth game: Plymouth's leading scorer (#10 Crosby Fay) is a SLU transfer out of New Hampton. I don't believe he saw any action for SLU (was maybe only there for a fall), but still a cool thing for him to lead his new team agai...

Re: NESCAC
Not a freaking chance ccR! Amherst @ 10-6? Need I remind you they lost (TWICE!!) H2H v Midd. Gettysburg? Really, a team with 8 losses?!?!! They lost H2H v Amherst who, might I remind you, lost to Midd twice.....swing and a miss!! One more year of an early exit? Its happened how many times recently?...

Re: NESCAC
Choochoo crying himself to sleep tonight. Why did the dead baby cross the road, Blaine? I would have put in Amherst over Bowdoin but that was a toss up, Midd was clearly going to be in once they made the finals. 4 CAC, 4 LL, the dominant leagues dominating the bids. As it should be.

Re: 2024 Pool C
Certainly agree but is has been that way for some time. Agree Roanoke has an extremely soft resume but the bubble was pretty soft this year. Gettysburg didn’t deserve be in (and was clearly not going to be). Amherst vs Bowdoin is a very interesting debate and I would have gone with Amherst despite t...

I doubt 5 NESCAC as well, think Bowdoin is outside looking in.

Re: 2024 Pool C
Not so sure. Selection criteria says the can weigh the last 25% of the season stronger. What are you talking about? There is nothing about weighing any part of the season differently. Gettysburg isn’t even close to getting in. This IL article is pretty spot on. 4 NESCAC, 4 LL, which tracks with nor...

Re: NESCAC
Absolute clobber job from Midd. Will Zink with 8g on 9 SOG. I think Bowdoin is out. Not enough RR wins and no real popping ones that the committee doesn’t consider but really does. I think Midd is in, helped by almost all favorites winning in other conferences where a loss would have taken away ano...

Re: 2024 Pool C
Say all the favorites (Dickinson, Lynchburg, Wes) win - who are your 10 at large then? Putting muhlenburg or roanoke over swat may be the worst take I've ever seen if those teams win, i am going with Tufts RPI st Lawrence union cnu w&l amherst middlebury gettysburg roanoke over swat. things clo...

Re: 2024 Pool C
The difference is last year they made it to the championship game. Also the ODAC #1 seed and NESCAC #1 seed didn't lose in the semis and quarters last year. When they pick teams for the tournament they don't look at USILA and see what top 20 teams didn't get an AQ. It's all about the regionally ran...

Re: 2024 Pool C
So many teams on the bubble this year. I think York, Roanoke and Williams have zero shot. Muhlenberg has 8 losses and very well may not have a win vs a team that makes the tournament, they should be out. Swarthmore is a team that I want to think has a good shot, because I think they are a very good ...

Re: Brown 2024
Jon Thompson has the resume - he is groomed for HC. Query - does he have the charisma to recruit and be a head coach? I guess people that know him or have coached with or played for him would know Thompson was a remarkable recruiter at Amherst, which probably scares folks because of the recent Tuft...

Re: Connecticut 2024
Prep with the comeback in OT last night over Cheshire, 14-13. I'm liking Prep in LL. Winning close games, strong OOC schedule, and good coaching bodes well for them IMO. But Cheshire should have won this game. Up by 3 twice in the 4th, but couldn't put the game away and ended up having to tie it at...

Re: NESCAC
I'm curious about the state of the Jumbos locker room. The team has lots of talent, but doesn't seem to have the heart or mentality of prior teams. They've had so many close NESCAC games, including against Colby who they really should have smashed given their record. Losing to Hamilton in the confe...

Re: New England West 2024
As always, greatly appreciated justanotherperson. Nice to see Kent win a game. Their scores vs the West-1 teams this year speaks to the class of the various coaching staffs. I also do not remember Wick playing Delbarton. Though still a strong program, Delby the past few years has been down from what...
