Re: Games Today
Am I making this up, but didn't they make "flopping" a point of emphasis for the officials this year? If so, pretty sure I did not see it called once. Flopping and the constant grabbing of the head (when stick is below shoulder level for goodness sake...) drives me nuts too. Of course may...

Re: Florida State
Full scholarship, NIL money, and guarantee of a high paying job upon graduation...and I still wouldn't let my daughter within 100 yards of Paul McCord. Good luck to USF, they will need it. So it’s a no for USF? 😁. I wonder, did the mCCords had this reputation with Jacksonville or did it just happen...

Re: Florida State
Let's be clear...Universities and Athletic Departments have choices when it comes to supporting their teams, especially new teams. Some have done it well in our sport recently (Michigan, Florida, USF...). Some have done it half ass (ASU, Cincinnati, Colorado...). Florida State is going to find them...

Re: Florida State
Never posted before, but figured I’d jump in since I know a bit about this discussion. The McCords are really good sales people. So much of it is smoke and mirrors at the USF program. They certainly have their loyal disciples, but 23’s were left disillusioned. Since this is the FSU thread, I’ll jus...

Re: Florida State
That would be unfortunate for an ACC school to not invest in the success of their women’s lacrosse program given the conference is home to many of the best teams. Contrast this with FSUs Florida neighbor, USF, who is all in on women’s lacrosse. If you haven’t seen the posts about their new football...

Re: Recruiting
What happens now for 2025’s who haven’t committed? Is playing d1 out of the picture with most schools being full. There are still many opportunities left with D1 schools. These will more likely be with higher ranked programs. As one poster mentioned don’t sleep on top D3 schools. I will add to this...

Re: Fall Lacrosse Schedules
I haven’t watched Humphrey 100 times, but I’ve seen her play more than 10 times, mostly in high school games, not exhibition games like the two mentioned. She absolutely is not a ball hog. She looks to feed a lot of the time and is excellent at it. But she is an even better scorer. How she will do ...

Re: Recruiting
Just had a conversation with a few parents regarding this crazy recruiting year. Most of us have been through this twice. All of us have stories that sound the same. No one can figure out how and what these coaches are looking at. When your daughter doesn’t get contacted by teams ranked in the 50s ...

Re: Recruiting
Ignoring that some commits still aren't reported, here are the stats by clubs. Only a few have more than 2/3 of their rosters committed. Some interesting data. really surprised by lowish numbers for M&D and Grizzlies Not sure where that M&D number is coming from as the 25 Black team is at l...

Re: Florida State
We all kind of suspected this was comming but good to have official confirmation. IMO FSU has all the resources, more so than even Clemson to be major player right away. The days of Florida being a contender are all but over with this addition. Gonna be a long line of long island kids headed there ...

Re: NEW RULE PROPOSALS
McCord posted a clip that highlighted one of the 24 CARDS handed out in the game. Broken...super broken. Yes and the clip was exactly what the rule is trying to prevent -- it was a cross check, slightly behind in transition. Admittedly, not super hard. A play that players have been taught to do in ...

Re: NEW RULE PROPOSALS
The fastest game on two feet became the slowest on two feet overnight with these new rules. It’s hard to understand what they were trying to accomplish with these green cards, but extending games that should take 1.5 hrs to play to 2.5 hrs was probably not one of them. And safety can’t be a reason w...

Re: Recruiting
My daughter just finished up. I don’t wish this on anyone. Wow that was hard for her. The offer was great. And yes. Tons of ghosts out there. Although I have to say I’m scared to see what the hell happens in two years to make sure the offer is the same. I couldn’t believe there’s nothing written do...

Re: Recruiting
You can't believe everything you read on the web, but maybe parents and prospective student-athletes consider things like this: https://crimegrade.org/safest-places-in-college-park-md/ In speaking with other parents of recruits they absolutely take this into consideration. And I know of D1 athletes...
