Re: Possible Tournament Upsets?

Towson over Cuse, Michigan over Denver, Princeton over Maryland, Penn State over Georgetown, Saint Josephs over UVa would not surprise me. Slightly less probably but Lehigh over a dumpster fire Hopkins offense wouldnt shock me either. Hah ! Dumpster fire ! On the other hand, though - just about eve...

No matter how talented the Duke team they can do this on any given day. Could also win the championship any given year with all their talent. Weird program.

Re: UVA @ Syracuse Sat. 4/20 2 pm

End of game, two plays decided the difference. Watch the videos. First play is UVA up 17-16, 1.50 left. Most of UVA is ball watching…and btw, what in the universe is 44 doing? He’s going to the other end? He’ll come into focus again shortly. Is UVA really allowing a long stick defenseman to scoop u...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

It is Thuraya and no parts since Monday. That doesn't seem right. Big question is can Hopkibs return back to its UVA level of play and not Navy level of play to win st Rutgers - a particular house of horrors for Hopkins. As an aside, what in world was that SU/Duke game last night? Hop made light wo...

Re: Syracuse 2024

It's been a while since a Duke offense was equal to or greater than the sum of their parts. They always have plenty of talent but recently they've been a defense/faceoff team.

Danowski must lose it inside when O'Neill gets a shorty switched onto him but decides to move the ball on.

Re: Syracuse 2024

I'll say this again, Spallina isn't a big dodging threat and never will be but that doesn't mean he can't be the #1 guy on a very good-great offense (clearly, as he already is). If you watched his high school highlights it was clear that his post up stuff wouldn't work against the ACC's defensemen, ...

Re: Syracuse 2024

My big concern with their offense is the inability to beat a man and draw slides. The fact that they're scoring as well as they are with such a glaring issue speaks to the really high level of talent they have, but the talent they can put on the field isn't balanced and is redundant. If you look at...

Re: Syracuse 2024

Death, taxes, and Spallina racking up points against mid teams He's just not suited to be an initiator/creator against top tier competition. He's a very good all around player who can feed, shoot, finish, carry and dodge once the defense is already rotating, best suited to being a guy who puts up h...

Re: Maryland vs Duke

I thought from the beginning of the season that Duke's offense would at some point devolve to 'give the ball to Sowers behind and let him go to work' which produced tremendous results the past 4 years. They're still trying to make it so complicated and the result is less than the sum of the parts
