Re: Notre Dame 2024

Buchner will have two years left for football and lacrosse and he’s going to be enrolling in the spring for his MBA Apparently official. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/40251031/ex-notre-dame-qb-buchner-back-team-wide-receiver I continue to question his durability. Will be glad to ...

Re: Best Team of All Time

It aint vacated in Cuse, they just lost the trophy. Got a banner hangin' in the Dome and everything. Well they also unilaterally decided Jim brown was the best lacrosse player of all time and hung a banner for that too so… need to take anything they do with a grain of salt Coach Scott said Jim Brow...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

ND was only one of two programs in the history of college lacrosse to win a natty with 1 or fewer losses. The "natty" has been won 27 times by teams "with 1 or fewer losses." And 13 of those teams were undefeated. Plus: Cornell won back to back in 76-77 with 0 losses on the way ...

Re: NIL, Title IX, Power 5, future of Lax et al

Last Thursday, the NCAA and the so-called "power five" athletic conferences reached an agreement to end the tradition of amateurism in college sports by allowing athletes to receive pay directly from the colleges and universities they play for. The agreement, part of a class-action lawsui...

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM

Rewatched. Trying hard not to blame any one player, but man alive, NOT EVEN ONE SAVE IN THE FIRST HALF?!! Just being picked apart high right hand; ND saw film which shows McNaney prefers bouncers. Team deflated after they saw their goalie wasn’t seeing much. That Taylor goal on the crease to tie it...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production

It would be nice if 1. The announcers quit the hyperbole 2. Quite focusing on the Moms celebrating in the stands 3. Take time to educate the audience about what is happening on the field - 10 man ride , clearing at midfield strategy, type of offense - why dodging from wings is advantageous or why s...

If Matt Russell had Piggy's or LQ's defense in front of him, he would have been on your list.

Or even QK's defense.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025

i wonder if Doc still thinks Hopkins had a chance against ND now. You don’t? DocBarrister No. You’re such a pessimist … a real Debbie Downer. DocBarrister 8-) I'm a realist. At the same time, I think I have more faith in our coach longer term than you. I’m still rooting for him, as I have sai...

Re: Your Most Memorable National Title Game Ever?

‘03 in the mud Whatever year Brad Dumont missed that BTB for Princeton. 02? 01? Late 80s Cuse Hop 2010 Duke ND Soccer game (goals weren’t allowed pre shot clock) 07 Duke delayed the start of the game so they could dramatically come out on to the field from the locker room while that dumb U2 song pl...

Re: Your Most Memorable National Title Game Ever?

1992... Soldier Field. Temperature close to 90 on Sunday crashing to 50 overnight. Unprepared with only shorts, Ts, flip flops  Princeton's first NC after upsetting defending champ UNC in semis w/ Cuse beating Hopkins. Tierney's team then stuns lax world taking down a loaded SU team in OT on...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025

The hate group that runs DEI at Hopkins is no worse than those at what RD aspires to consider peer institutions.
