Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
I know there can;t be trades in the college game but can we keep Potomac River through the portal and maybe have someone transfer out? Great analysis on Collison's yesterday I've got notes on every offensive possession - this is what happens when you have a newborn who refuses to sleep at night unl...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Collison didn’t push the SSDM matchups this season because that was not the role he was assigned most of the time. Collison is unusual because he is a big man who has excellent stick skills and body control … like a lot of Canadian players, he works well inside. His role was to set up a dodge for s...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Phillips and Marquis had opportunities the last 2 years and did not show anything. please point out the opportunities Marquis had this past season I missed them 06's biggest cardinal sin apart from serving as the new host for RFK Jr.'s brainworm is that he's boring. This is a line we've heard quite...

Re: Denver Pioneers 2024
I hope everyone is ready for a 7-5 final because if DU stands a chance in this game they are going to have to value the crap out of possessions. DU is a BORING game on TV. Only DU can make ‘cuse and Cornell games pedestrian. I was at the Cornell game this year, which DU won 17-16. Hardly pedestrian...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Agree. Need to develop and play our HS recruits or the goalies will start going elsewhere.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Longtime reader of the forum even back to Laxpower days (and Hopkins alum), finally decided to join in. First off congrats to the 2024 senior class, they went through a roller coaster during their tenure but led the program out from its nadir and leave it with a bright future. At the risk of echoin...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Bauer was not a week to week or even month to month 1st line midfielder. They had too many offensive guys who you could not count on. I'm more than ok with them moving on from him and Evans. Phillips and Marquis had opportunities the last 2 years and did not show anything. As for English you're ask...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
You and a lot of other people here are raising some great points which is why I'm glad they do that weekly show with PM and hope they'll continue it maybe monthly over the summer. There's a rather large graduation this week, and hopefully PM and the staff get a break soon, but I would hope Jameson/...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
I’m curious if Gelinas or Verdi can make the jump after being mentored by Ierlan for a year. Webb maybe but I am biased against smaller goalies. Is there an incoming frosh goalie who could step in? I’d really like to go back to the days when Hopkins was a goalie school Well, reportedly BK is doing ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Staff desperately needs a replacement for angelus. Ideally multiple Millon level top rated recruits. I can't recall anyone under Milliman that was a top 5 offensive recruit. Yeah I'd be looking forward to over the next few years to not replace Angelus but to exceed him ideally. You're not guarantee...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
Corrigan was HC at Notre Dame 34 years before winning!!!! “Maybe some folks had doubts”???? There are a very, very small handful of true difference making coaches. There is then a larger tier of very good coaches who can with a NC if they put the right team together. After 34 years, Corrigan did th...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
There are so many things to go through before really being able to develop any thoughts on Hopkins 2025 - the portal being pre-eminent. I guess we should find out in the coming days and weeks if any of the younger Jays will test the market with that free option. Apparently, we will receive the serv...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
I never said you were wrong about that, I never agreed with your assertion that this years players you wanted to do it showed they were up to the challenge. More runs of Grimes, etc. not beating his SSDM wasnt the solution, no matter how much you told them to just do it harder. I hear you. Grimes i...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024
Dock is Petro’s burner. Make so much sense now Hey, I pretty much pleaded with Petro for a decade to put together a more aggressive takeaway D … and I think I was proven right about that. So, I have critiqued Petro plenty. As I have said, I think PM is a very good coach. I just don’t think he’s the...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
There are two elite coaches in the country clearly ahead of the pack. Tiffany and Tillman. One of those two has been in every Final Four for the last 10 years. They're 10-1 and 5-1 in the Quarterfinal round respectively and the 1's in those columns were losses to the other. To win the championship,...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
........ A good team at any of these programs is no longer a guarantee to make a Final Four This. Exactly this. Never was. The Final Four teams from twenty years were more than good. “Good” has never been good enough for the Final Four. This was true even in the 1970s and 1980s. DocBarrister
