Re: Sacred Heart @ Albany At 7:00 PM Wednesday Evening

Good to see Albany back in the tournament … plus a newbie in Sacred Heart!

Re: Is anyone else sick and tired of the Kavanaghs?

He and his brother are fun to watch. Don’t know about the negative comments on how they play, but PK is probably the one player on ND I would pick for a PLL team. Frankly, I think PK may be the best all-around offensive lax player in Division I. I would pick him over O’Neill and Shellenberger. DocBa...

Re: Hobart 2025

FYI, the team that hits the field in '25 will have 6 scholarships to work with, 9 for the '26 season and the full 12.6 for the '27 season. I don't think we will start to see the effect of the scholarship $$ really take effect until '26. Figuring out how to divide the $$ up among recruits and curren...

Smith drafted by the Boston Cannons, but the heavy implication was they are stashing his rights for 2025 under the assumption he plays another year at Homewood
That’s great! Congratulations to them all!

Re: 2024 Bracketology

Appreciate the good comments about scoring margin incentivizing teams to run it up, but, to me scoring margin matters alot. Seperating teams via RPI , how many 'good wins', etc is helpful, but, not every win - or loss - is the same. 5 or 10 goal margins tell us something more so than an OT game - w...

Re: Possible Tournament Upsets?

Towson over Cuse, Michigan over Denver, Princeton over Maryland, Penn State over Georgetown, Saint Josephs over UVa would not surprise me. Slightly less probably but Lehigh over a dumpster fire Hopkins offense wouldnt shock me either. I think Crawley and PM can fix the problems on O. They know they...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

No Towson (which is fine with me). Maybe Lehigh? Lehigh it is. Good team, but the Jays need to make a statement. Interesting narrative with Crawley coaching against his old guys. Jays play Sunday at noon, winner gets UVA/St. Joes — that team will have an extra day of rest as they play Saturday. Kin...

Re: Does Notre Dame Repeat As Champions?

Deepest and most talented team in the country. The only team that will beat ND is ND. Does ND have any weaknesses? One of the best goalies. Tough defense. Best EMO. Excellent FO crew. Best ride there is. Dynamic O with great dodging, shooting, passing, and offball movement. Great on gbs. Did I miss...

Re: ivy league 2024

Congratulations to Princeton; they are playing great right now and if I were a seeded team I wouldn’t love facing them in the NCAAs. The announcers think it will be one Ivy bid, so we will see. A lot of upsets at the Conference tournament AQ level broke the wrong way from an Ivy bid perspective, bu...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

I take 36 hours off this forum and we're firing coaches and wondering how cancer research funds can be redirected to get the team airplane tickets. No one cares but they now beat 3 conference tournament champions-and 2 towson/georgetown came early. The program was prepared from the get go. If it st...

Re: Cornell 2024

It hurts to watch teams like Denver and JHU and PSU lay complete eggs in the league tourneys with no risk of losing a bid and have those putrid efforts in somewhat meaningless games cost Cornell a bid. Couldn't agree more. I understand the NCAA wanting to create some end of season drama but if ther...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Hopkins now with wins against RPI #s 5, 7, 8, 9, 14, and 16.

Losses against RPI #s 4, 6, 14, and 30.

Excellent resume. Now, if only their current quality of play on offense can match it.

Right. Or... BU/Lehigh. Towson looking tough as well. Who am I forgetting? Albany maybe...just Piseno alone...
Go Nova!
I suspect Hopkins will play St. Joe’s or Towson next week.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

I'm sure we can fundraise for this team to have plane rides if they show they can win and go deep. Winning cures all. I'd personally give a lot. They got Bloomberg to pay some attention to athletics. Heck, MB paid for the expensive brick pavers around Homewood two decades ago. Maybe he’ll drop a di...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024

Time to recognize Coach Conry as a top-tier HC. It would be a mistake to attribute Michigan’s consecutive runs (2023-2024) to B1G tournament championships to having their backs against the wall. Conry has built very good teams that play physically and aggressively all over the field. He hasn’t buil...

Five teams. Need six. Plus, Duke is inherently evil.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

I guess Hopkins remains a top 3 team in the polls. Meh. A paper tiger. Are they? It’s pretty clear that Notre Dame is in a class by itself, and everyone else has been inconsistent. We certainly fared better against Michigan than PSU is currently. This team can still make a Final Four (or better). I...
