Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
We need better defensive play for the second half, can’t even think abt next year without Nalls and Hall. I think Zenk can get that starting spot if she lives up to the hype, Nelson needs to improve before she gets a starting spot Well the wheels are off for UNC. I concede defeat. Wow. Embarrassing...

Re: 2024 Women’s Tewaaraton Watch List
Positions always matter. Look at the stats of past midfield Tewey winners. The gold standard for each position is very different. Players like Cummings and Stuckenburg were celebrated for their play all over the field, having maybe 85 total points and 20-30 caused turnovers. Pure attackers like Nort...

Re: 2024 Women’s Tewaaraton Watch List
Your performance as a player and your stats are evaluated against your peers playing the same position. A true 2-way midfielder especially playing in man to man defense may play 50 percent of the game while an attacker plays 100 percent and rests while ball is on defense. The positions, priorities a...

Re: 2024 All-Americans
How does having 12 AA attackers for 1st/2nd/3rd team combined and 38 honorable mention attackers make any sense - 38! Honorable mention should be 3-5 players that just barely missed the cut. Feels like we are giving everyone a trophy in my opinion.

Re: WLAX Bracketology
Duke getting in is a farce. They looked like a talented JV team last time out against BC. They need to get Loyola to OT in order to save face at all. If they get running clocked, the committee has explaining to do. This comes down to the committee bringing in personal relationships from outside. It...

Re: Games Today
To say they are beatable is fairly obvious and not sure it takes perfect game plan and execution - granted both have to be very good. Lost to ND, lost to Penn State, and nailbiters that could have gone either way vs Michigan and Hopkins. Penn State and Hopkins are not top 10 teams. Something may be ...

Re: UNC 2024 End of Season (2024-2025 Predictions)
Caitlyn Wurzburger’s story is implying she will NOT return next season. A great career at UNC, but I think it’s good for her knowing we have lots of depth next season. I'm confused CW is a senior and does not have another year of eligibility. Covid free years stopped prior to her class. UNC comes b...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Playing 21 year old attackers entire game which for them is about 30 min of movement should not lead to major fatigue. They also get endless breaks for draws, quarters, TO's etc. Same is true for defenders. BC just a faster team and they wore down Cuse attackers with their endless pressure. Same tru...

Re: ACC Tournament - Seeds, schedule and thoughts
Where did you see the all tournament team? The All ACC regular season teams were announced on the 23rd. Is that what you’re looking at? 2024 ACC All-Tournament Team Sydney Scales, Boston College (MVP) Rachel Clark, Boston College Shea Dolce, Boston College Belle Smith, Boston College Cassidy Weeks,...

Re: WLAX Bracketology
Im told more so than ever that there will be a big disconnect between eye test and subjective view (and even AA's on field) compared to the RPI. Can Yale with one of highest RPI's get a better seed than ND or Cuse? They lost by 8 to BC. RPI does not seem to view ACC the way most students of the game ...

Re: WLAX Bracketology
Does anyone know to what extent conference tournament results impact final NCAA tournament seeds. Some people say not at all, some people say a little and most people dont seem to know. Has the committee ever commented on the subject?

Re: Atlantic Coast Conference
Agree with beginning of season but look more closely since Duke game when they made big changes on both sides of the ball. Look at goal differential, offense and defense. Every aspect of team better since those changes. As a BC fan you are going to love the way this team competes from this point for...

Re: Atlantic Coast Conference
IMO in one week we will realize its the same BC team as in the past. Maybe even a bit stronger. Good teams get stronger as the year goes on. They will roll over UVA, beat Cuse and will be ready to defend their ACC crown.

Re: Polls
I think people are not seeing BC for what they are which is a team loaded with talent. I think they are starting to find their identity the last 2 games beating UNC and Duke by a combined 21 goals. Perhaps the best and most talented 4 attackers they have ever had. UNC locks off Clark and crushes BC ...

Re: Games Today
EM is the quickest player on the field and uses her speed very well. She is the focal point of the offense averaging about 12 shots per game. That may be more than Scane in her highest year. Most plays are designed for her and Hart and rightly so as Spallina coaches to his strengths. Was happy to se...
