Re: CNU 2024
My boys are/were 2 and like 25 against them. One bizarre OT game and one where our kids just kept punching. Berkman pegged Colf EARLY ON. Even when we had the horses like CNU has had, we were too transparent. Colf evolved a bit. He's quoted as saying one of his primary internal recruiting questions ...

Re: CABRINI 2024
Connor has to get picked up. Folks were talking RIT or the Gulls on this thread. Bear would contribute in a lot of programs. There are a fair amount whose parents indicated they were not planning to play lax anywhere else.

Re: Centennial Conference 2024
I think a lot of these CC schools are tough sells. Great educations, no doubt. Many of the CC schools are located in relatively dull PA towns. No NCs since 1998. It's not like the NESCAC where, yeah, you're gonna have to work incredibly hard for the conference championship, but if you survive the gr...

Re: CNU 2024
Institutional support, great coaching, great recruiting. Captains are set up to thrive. Matter of time before they play in an NC. Will always depend on seeding and some luck. They're blessed and cursed to play the Gulls 2x before the tournament. Let's you truly assess your capabilities and find area...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
I'd go Jumbos, Gulls, Panthers, Tigers. RIT at home? Can't see them losing by 5+, maybe in OT? Tufts is rolling. I think Bowdoin and Middlebury will be tightly contested. Gulls are gonna Gull. SJF 12 - Tufts 11 2OT''s The slipper still fits Salisbury 18 - W&L 6 Bowdoin 16 - Middlebury 8 CNU 16 -...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Salisbury is like a flywheel, set in motion 30 years ago. The rest of us seem to ebb and flow based on the amount of fuel we can burn, but we always have to stop to refuel. W&L is a proud program. Those boys will punch back. You never know, but it will take something incredibly special to upend ...

Re: Centennial Conference 2024
Swarthmore IMO is doing it the right way and their results the last two years are awesome. They went from a middle of the conference team to legit Top 10/20 outputs. Many, many teams have fallen to the Gulls. It's not new. The lessons there are immense. I really think you all can be a southern NESCA...

Thank you CNU! Our game is so incredible. That was a tough matchup for our dudes. Give em hell the rest of the way!

Re: CNU 2024
CNU community! I know you didn't have a choice in the matter, in terms of playing Cabrini, but I'm still thankful for the contest. Best of luck tomorrow and in the seasons to follow. Great things to come for your Captains. MT is a gem.

Re: Centennial Conference 2024
Coach Webster ROBBED of COY. 3-straight CCs. Participation trophy all too common nowadays. So...3-straight CCs. Is this a lifetime achievement award? With the returners Webster had, he was expected to win the CC. MVP- agreed 100%, but you had the wrong fan that got all bent out of shape about COY. ...

Not a good sign for your program's chances if you find yourself fretting about COY.

Re: W&L 2024
It was such a great environment. People in the area seemed to really rally around this small mountain college as it took on some of the sport’s most mainstream brands. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t see any small colleges being able to garner crowds like that in any sport in this day and age. Kids d...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
In years past, Gulls have torn through their side of the bracket and encountered a worthy program in the final. But even in dominant years they've gotten some great tests before that. Noke, Denison, plenty of others have shown out and made them really earn a title berth. They aren't undefeated in NC...

Re: CABRINI 2024
I tried to listen to it. One thing that Colf always did well is avoid taking the bait. I'm not sure he was ever recorded calling out an opponent/calling for an opponent. He used the opposing teams chatter as motivation though. He would take his medicine when we lost, and applaud the other team when ...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Who has the hardest pod & who has the easiest? I think if Salisbury weren't a big favorite over the majority of the field we would say they got a tough draw - - three combined losses between the Gulls, Endicott, and Swarthmore. Tufts/Union/Stevenson could all advance out of that pod and it woul...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Any hot takes for this weekend? Not a major fan of the back to back games for the quarters and semis but I do enjoy it for this weekend. 8 teams will be left by Sunday night... crazy. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say of the top teams that are being talked about as favorites (RPI, RIT, SU, Tufts),...

Re: CABRINI 2024
Should be an epic battle against CNU. I would expect the Cavs to make the necessary adjustments to counter the strong midfield play. They must also avoid unnecessary penalties and costly turnovers during transition. It is very fitting that the team with the “Burn The Boats” Theme this season is sta...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
I’m all for giving it to CNU because I feel like they have had an easier ride to a “dominant program” because of a few OT wins to a down Lynchburg program in the past few years. But this Saturday is cabrini’s last game as a program. While DeLuca has done well with this squad and situation, a 19-12 ...
