Re: njbill - 1 Minute (2 Day) Penalty

Yes. The infraction was no big deal. The penalty was even less. Far too much drama about so very little. It was Admin! Bill had to leave! It's all just too much for my sensibilities...

Bottomline, it just wasn't that big a deal. The whole thing was so nothing.

Re: njbill - 1 Minute (2 Day) Penalty

and his reaction had nothing to do with the length of the penalty, timing or whether it was released. your buddy's penalty doesn't sound like it's a comp. That's my point. For both, it was just that they got a penalty. Just not that big a deal. Both Bill and my buddy just took an innocuous act that...

Re: njbill - 1 Minute (2 Day) Penalty

I think blaming admin in this whole affair is unjust, in addition to being just downright unfair... Admin didn’t play favorites. He enforced the standard. In my book, that's commendable and warrants support. And Admin released the penalty. NJBill's penalty was nothing... and during the off-season. ...

Re: njbill - 1 Minute (2 Day) Penalty

But if a warning had been issued, ok, take the flag. Last 'brush' gets the flag. For sure there was a warning and, after the warning... a poster didn't let it go. What I don't know for sure, but I'd guess was the case, is that there was a complaint from a post-er before Admin issued the warning. Ag...

not sure I would call them "personal attacks", that's quite a stretch. NJ, are you getting your 3 squares? njbill telling another post-er, "You have an unhealthy, unnatural infatuation with this young woman. You pour over her stats again and again. You check her social media. And you...

Re: njbill - 1 Minute (2 Day) Penalty

Admin, was there a warning before this penalty? Sure seemed like a minor brush, not a slash...unless there were multiple such and an ignored warning. Multiple back and forths, Admin stepped in and asked for the personal attacks to stop, and... Sure enough. https://media.giphy.com/media/3o7aTmFZxRk1...

Re: Would clearer rules regarding “trollish” behavior on the Politics sub-forum be conducive to productive discourse?

On the politics, frankly I don't mind reading the posts of someone who supports Trump, including continuing to support Trump (which does seem bonkers to me post insurrection and the Big Lie), posting about their rationale for such support...as long as it isn't this angry, in your face, attacking, t...

Sure, but I'm not ready to scream racism based on the account's timeline and one-sided nature. Real racism, maybe. Journalist's desire to paint a picture of racism, maybe. Market fluctuation and incompetency, maybe too. Are you saying that real racism is when a journalist points a finger at racism?

Why ever happened to LadyLaker? Very close friend of mine, married to one of my oldest and best friends. Very, very funny gal, acerbic wit, and extremely knowledgeable about refereeing the women's game. Pretty darn knowledgeable about local MIAA boys schools as well, given long stint at BL. Good pe...
