Re: CABRINI 2024

Looking forward to this Friday Night’s Game vs. one of the top teams in D3! Let’s go Cavs! All of D 3 men's lax is proud of your players and coaches. I hope your former coach Colfer is there to join the line at the end of the game and shake Berkman's hand one last time. It was a good rivalry. On an...

Re: Salisbury 2024

MVPiccoli » Wed Apr 17, 2024 8:16 am If your definition of prime time is the ability to create a competitive outcome/close game with the Gulls, there aren't but two or three of those at this level, and they appear to be situated in the north. Maybe the Garnet if everything went their way down south...

Although it pains me to say, I still expect you all to repeat in 2024. Dowd, Nestor, Bromwell, DeFazio are too big and skilled.
If the Gulls win the 2024 NC, it'll be thanks to Ranson and DeFasio (and Berkman). After today's performance. IMHO

Re: Salisbury 2024

Streamed a bit of WOTS today and looked at the Box Score afterwards. Deja Vue all over again as 2019 flashed before me. Gulls 14 – 0; WAC 6-7 coming in. For the Sho-men Casey Grieves and GK Chris Del Rosario – who didn’t just stand on his head – his hair was on fire. For the Gulls Melton and Ferrara...

Re: York 2024

Streaming was fine but w/o commentary it was difficult to follow the last several minutes of Q 4. It appeared York got an unreleasable bench penalty? Shortly thereafter a GC coach was walked off the field by a ref? Then play resumed.

Re: Salisbury 2024

The 2023/4 Gull teams are starting to remind me of the 2011/12 Gull teams. I was going over the rosters and trying to imagine who from 2011/2 would fit into the 2023/4 roster and visa versa. Anybody remember the first Stevenson 2012 game in Owings Mills? Ranks up there with the 2016 NC game v Tufts ...

Re: Salisbury 2024

I missed the Scranton game but the box score has Malamphy written all over it. Malamphy and the Scranton goalie that is. Without seeing the game I'm not sure if Declan Allen had a stand on his head performance or if he was the recipient of crisp passes from the Gull shooters. Grove City and Scranton...

I missed the Grove City game. I thought Shahin was better than what the box score shows.

Re: Game of the Week; Lynchburg vs Gettysburg

MVPiccoli » Wed Feb 14, 2024 11:14 am Agree with all those takes. I think Lynchburg rolls. Curious to see how the Hornets gel this year. 7 grad students, it looks great on paper. I mean, how long can you keep top recruited talent, who have been waiting patiently to contribute, and are only engaged ...

Re: Salisbury 2024

ShoreThingMD » Mon Feb 05, 2024 9:02 am Big thank you to whoever manned the booth and provided the live stream. Regardless of the quality of lack of announcers, it was great to see the Gulls despite being a neutral site, this early in the season. Below are a few of my takeaways. ShoreThingMD, Your ...

Three excellent universities. We wish him well as he continues his college lax career.
It would be nice to see him compete for a D 1 NC.

Re: ~Salisbury 2023~

I noticed Boyden and Kohn from Tufts are in the transfer portal. Kohn (FOGO) apparently going to Syracuse and Boyden, I believe D 3 POY, undeclared. Is Berkman or one of the Gull Asst. Coaches permitted to call these fellows and pitch a year playing for the Gulls? Not sure about their academic inter...

Re: 2023 FanLax Forum Poll

I'm expecting some vigorous dissent so up front I'll admit a southern bias. Several years ago ah23 opened my eyes to more of a northern view but I think coaching and style of play is better in the south. That is why I ranked CNU ahead of Tufts. And I think had they played for the NC - CNU would have...

Re: NCAC 2023

Fingers crossed they both get in - I'd rather Kenyon than #4 NESCAC. Grow the game. Going forward Kenyon needs to step up their schedule a bit; like Grove City for example. Ned; Best wishes to Big Red. In June maybe I'll ping you for a candid assessment of the new coaching staff. In the meantime the...

Re: ~Salisbury 2023~

Would someone please give us an update on the Gulls. From scanning some internet games they seem to be getting better as a team . To be expected from Berkman. Better heads up passing and cutting off picks and posts. Defense has also gotten better totally unexpected with the absence of Big Ben Sandli...

Re: 2023 FanLax Forum Poll

Hi charlie; My rankings today reflect this past weekend games. NCAC has three ranked teams. Need to study up on Kenyon and Wooster. To be honest I'd never heard of them so I'll learn something.

Can you give us some commentary on them and would you consider joining the Forum Poll?

I ranked Wooster right below LYN and W&L. You're right, York should be ranked. Great coach and excellent program. Where would you put them?

Re: 2023 FanLax Forum Poll

This rationale explains you only voting for one CC team. You're entitled to your (Mid)Western (and Southern) bias. Hey Coach; I root for WAC (7-2) and would have listed them except for the Cortland blowout loss. Why did Beville run up the score like that? He's an alum and in WAC HoF I think. Had he...
