Re: Orange Duce

From a foreign viewpoint.
In summary, President Trump seems to me to be one of the best American presidents I’ve ever seen.

Re: The Mueller Investigation

I get a chuckle out of those who say Trump is "dividing the country", as if that is a new thing. Apparently, they don't consider, just for example: NRA (established 1871) Moveon.org (established 1998) Black Lives Matter (established 2013) 1973 Roe v. Wade 2000 Election, Bush v. Gore NOW (e...

Re: Brexit

I'm just telling you what two average Brit Joes said, they don't seem to think they will be F'ed by it. They aren't the rich, just two young guys with young families, who do resent being told how to live by a bunch of nameless folks in Brussels.

Re: Brexit

Spent a few days two weeks ago with a couple of Brit engineers. They were quite clear, Brexit should have been done a long time ago. The problem is that the MPs all have their own little agendas and side agreements hoping to delay it so they can stay in the EU from which the MPs all benefit financia...

Re: The Mueller Investigation

A couple of random thoughts. This report confirms what I have been saying all along, at least IMO. The Russians didn’t start their hacking to help Trump, they started it to hurt HRC. If you remember, Putin hated (and presumably still hates) HRC with every fiber in his body. If you forget the details...

Re: All Things Russia

Putin is getting his money back from Syria in multiples. More ME influence, now closer ties to Saudi Arabia, convinced Saudis to cut oil production, price of oil going up rapidly, and viola, Russian economy relying on oil sales (30% of GDP is oil and gas) is greatly improved.

I don't believe that they will work through all five stages. Especially the final stage, acceptance.

Outsourcing British Rule to Brussels was what the whole thing was all about.

Re: Climate Change & The Environment

The problem with "combatting" climate change is the implication is that climate can be controlled. It can't be controlled. Pollution can be decreased, that is a good thing. But those claiming their big ideas, and only theirs, will stop or correctly alter (whatever that even means) the chan...

Re: Healthcare

Be careful what you wish for. Lengthy treatment delays are the norm in Canada and other single-payer nations, which ration care to keep costs down. Yet more and more Democratic leaders are pushing for a single-payer system -- and more and more voters are clamoring for one. Indeed, three in four Amer...

Re: Healthcare

This would of course open the inevitable can of worms. Turn the system over to the politicians, which is what a government run system would be, and it would be "free" insulin today, but what about my medicine? Why am I paying for that? If health care is declared a right, as some claim, the...

Ok, I read this a few posts back, I have to ask since I know nothing about this, but why should insulin be free?

And interestingly enough it's the EU who is leading the fight against all these organizations in terms of wanting better privacy, security, fairness and objectivity in search results and more. Re: The Mueller Investigation

That's fine, but let us recall the origin of the Steele Dossier. Not one foreigner offering services to the Clinton campaign but multiple foreign actors (through lawyers of course, she is too smart to get her hand caught in the cookie jar).

Re: The Mueller Investigation

The stages overlap, they aren't clear cut, so there will be many that vacillate between the Denial and Anger stages of grief for quite a while. All the rest of us can do is try to be understanding and sympathetic to their pain.

Re: The Mueller Investigation

The Five Stages of Grief DENIAL Denial is the first of the five stages of grief. It helps us to survive the loss. In this stage, the world becomes meaningless and overwhelming. Life makes no sense. We are in a state of shock and denial. We go numb. We wonder how we can go on, if we can go on, why we...
