Congrats to the Mids on a BIG win. Proud of their fight. FO and G play has been fantastic. Really happy for this group of players.

What should the Mids hope for in the upcoming PL games this weekend (Other than beating Bucknell) ?

Now that Sisselberger is no longer at Lehigh, the Mids should have a major upper hand for the next few years at the Faceoff X with the emergence of Hayashi. I predict Navy by 4-5 goals (assuming the team that beat BU last week shows up again). I have a question and I am not trying to be a smartass....

This team is so hard to figure out. I pray they see more games like this than the Penn St or Towson version

According to Lax Reference, Navy RPI 45, SOS 57. Very disappointed for the boys and the program overall.

No reason Navy shouldn't be able to out-recruit and consistently beat Army in Lax (or any sport for that matter). This will be a make or break year for this coaching staff. The next 2 games are critical to building momentum. Beating Hofstra and Towson will allow the Mids to enter @ 3-0 into a very tough stretch of Penn St, @BU, @ Lehigh, @ Hopkins and v Nova. I believe that 5 game gauntlet will define the season (going 3-2 or better would be ideal).

I predict Navy will bounce back from from last year and have a breakthrough season. The team is ripe and mature and will sneak up on many who wrote them off.

What is everyone's take on this upcoming season.
New OC (not much choice given the late departure of coach Phipps).
New Faces on the field (Marsh etc...). Lost some key players from last year's squad. 3 pre-season AA selections.
Win total predictions on the year?
PL standings by season's end?

Congrats to Loyola on a nice win. They jumped the Mids early, and other than a few wobbly moments in the 4th Q , were in complete command the whole game. The Goalie and Evan James had fantastic games. Great hustle on GBs...From this Navy fan, best of luck going forward in the PLT.

Loyola clearly fading late in the season. Can Navy execute well enough to beat them twice this season and advance to the PLT in Boston?

A Navy win would guarantee a playoff game at home next Tuesday. That would be really nice given all the adversity this season.

Too bad the Army/Navy game is at the same time as UMD v JHU. Wish they could have found a way around that.
