Not a real school? In the eye of the beholder, I guess. Ledyard, Bunnell-Stratford and Lewis Mills-Burlington...now those are REAL SCHOOLS.

Re: Does Notre Dame Repeat As Champions?

Deepest and most talented team in the country. The only team that will beat ND is ND. Does ND have any weaknesses? One of the best goalies. Tough defense. Best EMO. Excellent FO crew. Best ride there is. Dynamic O with great dodging, shooting, passing, and offball movement. Great on gbs. Did I miss...

Re: BIG TEN NETWORK

Sitting here fat, dumb, and happy watching Michigan destroying Penn State. I'm fascinated and puzzled by the BIG 10 Network's USILA Men's Lacrosse Rankings chryon: To whit DUKE-1, UVA- 2, Maryland- 3, Denver- 4, Army-5, Notre Dame- 6, Hopkins- 7, Syracuse -8....yada,yada,yada. I saw it, every damn ...

Funny. Yes, a chryon usually appears on the bottom of a broadcast. I was more concerned why a network can create their own version of USILA rankings. UVA #2 and Notre Dame # 6 ?

Re: Long Island 2024

Yes. Prior to this year, in 33 total meetings, South Side’s only victory over Garden City was in 2008. Manhasset beat South Side that year 14-13. Ironically GC and South Side played every year from 2000 to 2014 (sometimes more than once) with the sole exception of 2004. 2004 was the year that South...

Re: Long Island 2024

What do we think about Northport-GC? Obviously I'm pulling for my Tigers but this is a tough one. We're accustomed to getting most of the possessions and that's not likely against GC. I see this being a low scoring game with GC winning like 7-5. I think that’s about right…. i don’t think GC is a po...

Re: Long Island 2024

Very cool read, thanks for posting, LI. Interesting how more many Nassau kids go to St.A’s than Suffolk kids go to Chaminade ( except for the madman that commuted from Southampton). Also, I’ll be damned if I can get a read on Nassau A. I know F’dale lost Ippoliti, but I was hoping they’d be able to...

Re: Long Island 2024

GC 7, Manhasset 2 final. Manhasset just doesn't have much in the way of offensive firepower. Kids played hard and Im was great but they couldn't create anything. Agreed, they just couldn’t possess the ball much or break down the defense. Credit to GC which has their own excellent defense Murf: you ...

Re: Long Island 2024

I somehow remember Murf saying a long time ago that it was because of so many GC kids leaving to go to Cham. They played every year for 22 years and haven't played since 2004. GC was 17-5 in those games, so something definitely happened. Back in the day, a number of kids that played together in GC'...

Re: Cornell 2024

The geniuses behind the mikes finally finally figured out that Matt Tully is in goal. There is a subtle difference between #19 and #55. Meanwhile, Carc continues to love the sound of his voice. He actually said, "Cornell has one of the best fanbases if not one of the best fanbases." LOL! ...
