Re: Is Lacrosse an "Aristocrat Sport?"
I want to make a distinction about the idea that lacrosse is perceived as an "aristocrat sport." Many people are talking about high school participation which has expanded in NY, and throughout the country, over time and more specifically the last two decades but the problem lies in the fa...

Re: Colonial Athletic Association 2023
Fairfield played in the MAAC in the late 90s early 2000s but then left when the MAAC was not fully funded and it wanted to be (at least those were the rumors). Now that the MAAC is supposed to be fully funded, when many of the schools are still around 8 scholarships and 2 full time coaches, pay stil...

As a coach Alloy all of the way. As was already stated carbon shafts have a tendency to break way too easily.

Re: Future of College Lacrosse
One thing about the ESPN+ model is that most of the content created for week to week lacrosse is done locally at the college at no expense to ESPN only an agreement to air a game or two throughout the season and have access to chamgionship game. While some of agreements state that ESPN will air digi...

Re: Future of College Lacrosse
What I truly see happening in Football is simply a 32-64 team "conference" aka, "A" Group that may be dividid in groups of 8 as mini-confereneces, whether it be 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8, depending on the numbers and the idea of an expanded playoff coming solely from those teams where the ...

Future of College Lacrosse
For discussions sake, let's consider the potential "reprecussions" on Division 1 lacrosse if football creates a mega-conference and something the follow scenario happens. Right now the SEC looks poised to grow and could develop into a 24-32 team conference as some suggest and this would th...

Marist on campus pause through 3/31 resulting in the weekends game against the Griff's postponed. Will be interesting to see how MAAC handles these types of postponements going forward.

Re: Biggest Upsets in College Lacrosse History
I would add Canisius's 2014 road win against #13 Albany to the honorable mention list. This was definitely not expected and holding the Thompsons to 10 goals was impressive. While not a tournament game still worth noting.

Re: Lacrosse Rebounder/Bounce-Back
Yes. I purchased in the spring and it is well made and larger than most at 4 x 7. You can usually find a 10 to 15 percent coupon/code online if you purchase directly through rukket and not Amazon. The rebounded has two positions and multiple tension set ups for a variety of rebounds. I had one issue...

Re: MAAC 2021
Canisius announced a 19% cut in the school's athletic budget. The school confirmed no sports are being cut but I have to assume it will impact travel and potential out of region games. Some monies will be saved by today's announcement that men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball will forego ...

I agree what I posted is incomplete at best but NY is trying to contact trace which is one of the recommended ways to reopen responsibly but is not or can not be done in some states due to the lack of preparation for spread and is why the information was released to media. I have first hand knowledg...

Re: When will HS Lacrosse be back?
Based on this story, I have to believe that most high schools will think long and hard about playing. It could come down to what their insurers are telling them about liability. https://poststar.com/news/local/warren-county-to-quarantine-people-who-came-in-contact-with-lacrosse-player-with-covid/art...
