What the heck is a human play toy? Can you go a single post without saying something creepy about young women.

Re: Transfer portal
The more I think about the BC transfers, the more I think it's ridiculous to get upset about it. AWW would have been doing her program a disservice by not contacting all three of those players. She goes really hard after big recruits/transfers/grad transfers and certainly doesn't land all of them, b...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
I am so sorry that I triggered some of you by sharing coaching info and clarifying which UNC system school I was referring to. My bad. I added the CH to indicate Chapel Hill, since another UNC system school is adding women's lacrosse, Charlotte (commonly referred to as UNCC) - As another poster com...

Re: Transfer portal
Are there no rules anymore that if you transfer in conference that you have to sit out a season? The NCAA has no rules about that but conferences can. The ACC used to have an intraconference transfer rule requiring kids to sit out but they nixed it in 2021. For example, Ella Little transferred from...

Re: Transfer portal
Grabbing 2 AA attackers when BC lost Medjid and Cort Weeks and really did not see other players ready to step up and play at a consistently high level was a no brainer for AWW, and yes, she is shocked that she got both players. The fact that both players have 2 years left is a big bonus. It fills t...

Re: Transfer portal
Certain programs are gaining reputations that will be considered during recruiting. If a kid is being recruited to both UNC and BC, does transfer portal activity factor in? Depends on the kid and the surrounding circumstances. This is tough on the current players, but some of it will even out as rec...

Re: Transfer portal
Has anybody except UMD transferred in a 1st team all American? Haven’t been keeping up. Your post makes it seem like ball will be the most impactful transfer because she was “first team AA”. Who cares. Maryland got two defenders as good as ball last season and they were not difference makers. On th...

Re: Transfer portal
Ha. It'll all come out in the wash. A defensive unit is only as strong as its weakest link. Finding the right piece on offense can take a team to the next level. Defense is about depth, attack can be about top-end talent if you have no other choice and that can potentially get you far (but not to a ...

Re: US U20 Team
To touch on the Apuzzo stuff, she's publicly said that being named a U19 alternate was something of a defining moment that fueled her going into college. I believe Madlax that she didn't have a good tryout - she's a pretty reserved person and probably just struggled in that kind of environment as a ...

Re: Recruiting
CW is a very good player, but frankly I'm not sure she's even top 10 in her conference, let alone the country. Truthfully I think it's a shame that she can never just be an All-American four-year starter at UNC and a national champion, she will always be the wunderkind who didn't live up to the ridi...

Re: Recruiting
I agree with the apples and oranges comments. Humphrey has lit up everyone she has faced since middle school, and dominated on the #1 team while playing the toughest schedule in the nation. Routinely called a “generational talent” by those that watched her play. LOL, CW was also called a generation...

Re: Izzy Scane vs. Charlotte North debate
10 years from now, barring a major rules change, will a single top 15 team play predominantly man vs. man defense? You have given yourself an out by saying predominantly , but I think there will always be a place for man. Man defense is played in all sports. In any sport, if you have the personnel,...

Re: Izzy Scane vs. Charlotte North debate
Dempsey Arsenault belongs in this discussion as well. No other middie who's been named was half the defender, with the exception of McCool who's still a distant second. Also fantastic in transition, on the draw, on- and off-ball on attack. Still blows me away that BC couldn't win a championship with...

Re: NEW RULE PROPOSALS
The definition of cross-check should be cleaned up before taking a player off the field to “improve safety” Women’s Rule Book: Cross Check: Initiating stick-to-body contact and using the shaft of the stick to hit, push or displace an opponent. Men’s Rule Book: Cross-Check: A player may not check an...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
Amanda Barnes Moore is a good UVA candidate. Played at UNC, was DC for five years at Duke while they were very strong, started the program at ECU which has outperformed expectations. Good fit.

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023
Would Phil Barnes or Colleen Shearer be UVA candidates? I could see Tumolo being extremely successful here. Not sure it's enough of a step up for Klaes or Adams to leave their current positions...

Re: NEW RULE PROPOSALS
 If you want to bring up AU... that league is extremely physical, markedly stepped up from college. They have athletes that can handle it (both dole it out safely and take it) so it's largely a non-issue to them, but it's certainly not less physical than the college game. Besides, AU plays suc...
