Re: NESCAC

The "RamLine" Ham @ Tufts(-6.5) Trin @ Wes(-5) Wil @ Bow(-1) Am(-1.5) @ Midd Tufts (-6.5) - Self explanatory. Side note: as a self-aware Tufts hater, I think just edging out a few tight games (Williams / Amherst / Bowdoin) actually helps this team rather than hurts. Credit to whoever had ...

Re: NESCAC

Only followed the first half 🤦‍♂️ wow. https://i.ibb.co/Fw191Nc/IMG-9165.jpg They’re obviously a longshot, but potentially a season-saving half of lacrosse. Same here, watched the first half and was both impressed with the Trinity zone and conversely how poorly/sloppy Midd played. Trin played with ...

Re: NESCAC

Thoughts on this weeks games? Wesleyan VS Trinity - It seems as if Trinity once again has hit a late season stride and is able to utilize the talent they have on the team, but Wesleyan comes confident after a huge upset and having one of the best seasons they have had in a while. Going to take Wesl...

Re: NESCAC

Here are my initial thoughts for some lines on this weekend's games - some solid games on the docket: Hamilton (-6.5) vs the Bantams (+6.5) Conn (-110) vs Bates (-110) - I don't think Vegas is giving you a spread on this one Midd (-4.5) vs Colby (+4.5) - You have to think the promising way Colby ha...

Re: NESCAC

solid win by trinity tonight in a tough season... I am all for rose colored glasses and agree a win is a win, but "solid win", really. I think you are setting the bar just a little bit too low here. Clark is 3-7 with blowout losses to Wentworth and Salve Regina. That they only beat them b...

Re: NESCAC

Do we agree now that Tufts has reloaded and there has not been really a hiccup from last year. You might call RIT a hiccup but I think that those two teams can beat each other on any given day. Compared to how they played against RIT vs CNU/Union, it was night and day. I think if Tufts plays there ...

Re: NESCAC

Hamilton to 4-2 and Middlebury getting the win over Conn. Thoughts on today: Williams @ Trinity - If there is time for them to show some life... it's now. Off a 3rd straight win Trinity in an upset Bates @ Wesleyan - Thinking Wesleyan gets back to scoring ways and wins by double digits Tufts @ Stev...

Re: NESCAC

Just some friendly banter here...because it does not happen too often here for the NESCAC people.... but man, Liberty League seems to be wearing "the heavy-weight belt" right now. I know it's early and it's the "last man standing," but not many OOC games left. You say maybe 2-3 ...

Re: Top 25 for 2024

I do give IL credit for finally separating the Publics for the Privates and it is pretty clear they just use the same formula, how many commits and especially how many athletes have gone thru their ranking system. On some level, you cannot really blame them, they are running a business and trying to...

Re: Top 25 for 2024

It is really so silly, there should simply be two polls, one for Private Schools (of any kind) and one for Publics. It does not matter if you take PG's or not, Wick, L'Ville etc while they do not have PG's many of the kids have re-classed which is fine, do not have any issues with that at all, but ...

Re: NESCAC

Anyone see the Midd-Bowdoin game? What happened? Or after two straight losses we now know Midd is not an elite team? Bowdoin was dominant in all three phases. Physical defense, strong transition and controlling offense. Midd showed flashes at times, but Bowdoin controlled the pace of play and physi...

Re: NESCAC

A few thoughts on the Wednesday games before this weekend: -Tufts: Wowzers. They are looking to continue their overall dominance. Not a 'bos fan, but it's hard to deny they seem to always find a way...except maybe against those gulls. -Midd: Surprising result. I had them winning by 2, not losing. A...

Re: NESCAC

Big Day for the LL, watched a good bit of the Midd RPI game and Midd has to be kicking themselves. Up 3 going into the last quarter and pretty much gave this one away. They will learn and maybe an early season loss is not the worst thing in the world. I do agree with pcolax in that their attack nee...

Re: NESCAC

Maybe the Trinity and Conn dads will chill after yesterday being exactly how it's always been..... I saw parts of both games via stream, and honestly it was hard to tell if Tufts and Bowdoin are that dominant or if Conn and Trin just are not very good at all. It felt like the latter despite all the...

Re: NESCAC

WEEK 1 LINES Here is what I'm thinking for week 1 lines, let's get it going! Babson v. Williams: -0.5 Babson - feel like this will be a tight game throughout. Expect Rainville to exert his fifth-year experience later in the game. Really curious to see who steps up in the pipes for the Ephs, but I r...
