Re: NESCAC
WEEK 1 LINES Here is what I'm thinking for week 1 lines, let's get it going! Babson v. Williams: -0.5 Babson - feel like this will be a tight game throughout. Expect Rainville to exert his fifth-year experience later in the game. Really curious to see who steps up in the pipes for the Ephs, but I r...

Re: NESCAC
the trinity goalie room is just fine. I was not aware that D3 Lacrosse teams had "rooms", lol. In any case, opportunity for someone else, next man up! That being said, a 3-year starting goalie, one of the best in the league, deciding to play another sport his senior year is at best unusua...

Re: NESCAC
Yes Trinity played their backups. Surprised the bantams aren’t getting more hype going into this year considering their strong season last year and the addition of 3-4 D1 transfers Any truth to the rumor that the Trinity starting goalie for the past 3 years decided to leave the team? When Inside La...

Re: Hobart 2024
Nice to see some chatter again! I think we will see Herlihy running middie again after a tough injury-filled time at attack last year. Greene too - that seems to be his happier place. They seem to also like Delano and Rosa running out of the box a bit. The take-away may be constantly mixing this up...

Re: HS Boys National Rankings
Get it to x......did you really ask why? Yes holdbacks and PG's are a major difference of why it is not an apples to apples comparison but how about the fact that the rosters of kids from NE West are national and not all from one town. Deerfield, Taft, Hotchkiss etc draw from all of the country and ...

Re: HS Boys National Rankings
I think we can agree that the HS rankings are a little bit silly as it is really difficult to speculate on how a team from the west or the south would do against a team from the mid-atlantic or east coast. But it is fun for the kids and probably more so the fathers to flex on who is better than who....

Re: D1 vs D3. What’s the difference
In terms of the gap closing, I could not disagree more. Prior to I believe 1996 there were a number of D3 schools that regularly competed several times a year against DI schools, Washington College, Hobart, W&L, Cortland, and Roanoke all had at least a couple of DI teams on their schedule each y...

Re: New England West 2022
If you ever think that Deerfield is going to drop games against Choate you are completely ignorant. Never going to happen.

Re: Hobart 2022
A stop off at the Rongo was a right of passage. Takedown the Triumvirate of "Bastards"-Suffering-Dying-Dead and somehow make it back to Geneva. Good Luck boys.

Re: Hobart 2021
That was so disappointing! Kids showed some stones not giving up and coming back time after time, unfortunately could not close the door and get over the hump. Hard to be overly critical with that kind of effort. Thanks to the seniors for persevering over the most extraordinary of times. It is too b...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Will not argue the academics, NESCAC offers up some of the best academic institutions in the country. In terms of facilities without going down the list one by one am not sure you are on target and many of the schools in the conferences you mentioned, especially the CAA have way better facilities an...

Re: NESCAC 2020
Am really looking forward to seeing some games this weekend that quite frankly I did not expect to see. Wanted to weigh in on the topic that was discussed a few days ago, and that is the comparison between the two divisions. I do agree that there are probably a few kids on each of the upper-level D3...

Re: Hobart 2020
A win is a win and will take an ugly win over a good looking loss any day. Speaking of ugly, what is with the helmet? I know our new branding effort has brought "Royal Purple" back into the fold but the helmets are awful. Along the same lines, I might have missed something but why do we on...

Re: New England West 2020
Ahh, it must be Spring. The annual Publics, Privates, Repeats & PGs topic. It has been discussed/argued about since at least the 80s (& prob well before). Plenty of valid points on all sides. Perfect topic for a debate club    Forget Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow, best way...

Re: New England West 2020
I'll agree to disagree with some on the tourney. It would be tremendously exciting and the kids would love it. Yes, it is frustrating to be the best team throughout the season and the not be crowned champ because of one slipup in May but it is also very frustrating to be co-champs after a regular s...

Re: NEC 2020
22. Hobart — Trout Tossers can score bushels of goals and are the team to beat in the NEC. Quint says ‘Bart are the “trout tossers” Geneva, NY, the "Lake Trout Capital of the World". Back in the day it was not uncommon for students to pull a few trout from Seneca Lake and toss them...
