Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
The number one complaint about Summer 2020 and the virtual recruiting that we coaches had to do was that you couldn't see a kid live. Having more eyes on the road definitely helps, but summer recruiting is still two months of brutality. I had years where I spent 6 nights in my own bed in the month ...

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
Recruiting is even more brutal. There's only one major event in CO, majority of everything else is East coast. 2 months where you're basically living in a hotel. Just my opinion. College recruiting is A LOT simpler these days than the old days of 2 straight months of summer in hotels/motels/friends...

Re: VMI 2021/2022
Well, on paper the incoming class looks good and numerous. 24 recruits listed including 3 transfers , 4 AA and an IL 4 star. Of those 3 transfers I have a DARK HORSE in that pack who will reap massive rewards for VMI on & off the field: G Trey Reimann (Hampton / Pearland, TX) Not many people kn...

Re: Hampton 2021
It kinda stinks that Devoe bailed on Hampton after only one season. I'll be rooting for the Pirates to keep improving. Those around the program know that Devoe didn't bail. Amherst went after him, hard. That man went out over the last year & landed over 20 recruits in the 2020 class to commit. ...

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
The blame should always be on the players, short of directly provable illegal activities. You go to college; you do what your coach tells you to do. Dont like it? There's the door. PLain. Simple. The moment you get mommy & daddy's lawyers involved = you are the problem. {again, short of illegal ...

Didn't VMI play UVA last year?
Isn't the other addition UMBC along with Lehigh? That's a strong strength of schedule in 2020 overall for sure. Not backing down from any realistic challenges.

Re: Helmets/Head Gear?
Does anyone know the statistics for concussions and head injuries in women’s lacrosse (if there are any)? At the youth and HS level, I see far more concussions in girls soccer and basketball than in girls lacrosse. I’ve always wondered if part of the background push for helmets was due to the compa...

Re: Will Maryland repeat?
Good ?. I'm always interested to see how dynasty era teams respond to an early season or ever a post-season loss. The stigma of expectation from teams gone by, think 80s era MIami Hurricanes football-those alums were on the sidelines during games telling players they BETTER WIN. Obviously, college w...

Re: Helmets/Head Gear?
Y'all can hope all you want, but the game is headed (no pun intended) towards helmets + pads. In order for the game to keep growing & maintain the interest of the southern, midwestern, & western populations - the game will have to continue to morph into something similar to the men's game, i...
