Re: Belmont Abbey 2021
With Limestone moving to the SAC the CC will be run by Belmont Abbey. I do not see them losing the conference anytime soon. It’ll be Belmont Abbey and Mount Olive with a huge drop off behind them. Let’s hope some of these mid programs can grow through recruiting over the next year or so. I also hope...

Re: Coach Carousel 2020
I heard something similar. I heard their posting was for a PT varsity assistant JV HC, but that whipp was willing to make other moves for a more qualified candidate.

Re: Coach Carousel 2020
I won't comment on the inner workings of the program, but Gaffney may as well be the end of the universe. Quoting TripAdvisor.com, the "Top Attractions" in Gaffney: 1. The Peachoid 2. Cherokee Speedway 3. Cherokee County History & Arts Museum 4. Gaffney Outlet Mall Unless you're REALL...

Re: GLVC
I was told by a HC in the GLVC that one of the major reasons the presidents council voted on conference only was they re not confident that outside conferences will have the same testing standards.

I heard the same thing! I also heard that they are looking for an offensive minded assistant to replace Campbell.

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
Interesting, I wonder why he passed. I know that YHC has passed on a tenured Assistant Coach from an ECC school. I hope they get this hire right, to get YHC back on track in some fashion.

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
I believe that SHU assistant has turned down the job. Not sure who else is in the running for the HC opportunity. No specifics. I do think it was a pretty tenured assistant from the north region. I believe their on campus interviews are done and we should be hearing shortly. From everything I have ...

Future Programs
While there’s been little news as of late, Im curious if there’s been any news or talks about potential programs adding this upcoming summer? I heard that USC Aiken was supposed to add this past summer but COVID put a pause on that. Converse is another one as well, since they just moved to a Coed in...

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
Rumor has it that they are reaching out to potential candidates for this job and not just waiting on people to apply. Wonder who in D2 could be a good fit they’re talking to.. Any idea the coaches they’re reaching out too?! Without giving up names... I’ve heard they’ve had on campus interviews. See...

Re: Young Harris lacrosse
I just learned YHC has turned down 2 candidates with a wealth of experience. 1 with 10 plus years D2 and D3 experience and the other with 15 plus years D1, D2, and D3 experience. I’m told pay was lower then the average and scholarships have been cut significantly for the program. I’m not sure what ...

I see Coach Jay Goldsmith landed softly somewhere. He is the new AC at NGU - https://nguathletics.com/news/2020/8/21 ... coach.aspx Also, according to their 2021 roaster, it appears that former YHC Goalie Bryce Parrish went over as well. I saw that as well, looks like a good spot for him to land. N...

Re: RIP NY Tech Lacrosse
I believe he’s talking about the revenue distribution. The NCAA distributes I believe about 5% of their revenue every year to Division II. This is spread among all university and conferences. Which is roughly 500mil. Interesting question I guess it depends on if the university continues to pay its d...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
I asked this on the YHU thread as well, what are people expecting? There definitely could be more, but without doing a deep dive into every Div 2 website the only two Div 2 teams that have hired a known commodity HC and are worth a damn in the last decade is Tampa and Wingate. The pay and the candi...

Re: UAH Men's LAX
I see no problem with hiring someone who coached in the conference, at a college thats also a state school in the same state, helped build a startup program from no players to around 60. Montevallo also beat UAH by 9 a year ago, despite the fact that UAH has been around for a few years longer. Clea...

Not rumors, it’s true Mitch Schafer stepped down. I haven’t heard if they are going to do a search or if they will elevate their assistant. Maybe someone else knows more about that?WhiteCarrera wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 11:01 am I’m hearing rumors (pretty solid ones) about a coaching change at Maryville. Anyone else hearing this?
