Re: US Lacrosse 2021 World Games
Last line of the press release "The World Games 2021 Birmingham marks the 40th anniversary, and 11th edition, of the international, multi-sport event." That, to me, references that they are moving up the 2022 men to 2021 now. They had previously announced that they were relocating the 2022...

Re: US Lacrosse 2021 World Games
It's a total disgrace, who is the said big donor? Someone with guts need to write a story about this in a real publication. Hijacking a niche sport for Olympic fame and stadium cash, sounds like a 60 minutes episode. I also agree with above comment that it shouldn't even be called lacrosse, more li...

Said person is also an IOC member and a very rich business guy with deep pockets who is also connected to NLL and Major League Soccer. Wanna bet there is a stadium connection to soccer - Birmingham Legion is USL second division pro soccer team - they play at UAB Stadium.

Re: US Lacrosse 2021 World Games
The fix is in. Say goodbye to the sport you all know and love......which this isn't.
But let's suck up to the IOC..........for the cash.
The weather in July in Birmingham AL is marvy, too.

Re: Sensible Gun Control
turns out the Pensacola shooter, a foreign national, acquired his gun legally without a background check. He first obtained a hunting license, which allows a non-immigrant on a non-immigrant visa to purchase a gun. You'd think after 9/11 and all of the other sh*t going on since then and now that SOM...

Re: Netflix - Shows Worth Watching
The Irishman
Scorsese's latest mob masterpiece but at 3+ hours good thing its on Netflix so you don't have to watch all at once except once.
The music soundtrack is as good, if not better than Goodfellas.

This is exactly the point former World Chess champion, Garry Kasparov makes. He has seen Soviet-style disinformation up close for his entire life in the Soviet Union and recently wrote an Op-Ed at CNN. He is also a vehemently anti-Putin. He is no wingnut. Here is a link to his appearance last night ...

Yep. OS should do a little basic civics research - The Government (either Congress or any Federal agency) can issue an administrative subpoena without seeking approval from a judge - both Republican and Democrats having been doing this for YEARS - I don't recall you objecting or expressing concern ...

Re: IMPEACHMENT ... How many Articles?
Yep. The sitting President has, in fact, NEVER been voted out. Historically speaking, both previous impeachment proceedings conducted by the Senate resulted in acquittal of the Chief Executive.
