I've been telling you all that Orange Cheato is a criminal. Well, now I'm apparently correct.

Re: 2024 New York State Tournaments
to get tothe A final they will have to beat Mamaroneck (1) and likely Farmingdale (8). Both games are in the Albany area, however so travel won't be an issue.

Re: 2024 HS season
CT states starts today. Somehow Darien is the one seed in LL, yet they are two in the computer, lost in the FCIAC finals to the two seed, have a worse overall record than the two seed, and lost in the regular season to the three seed. NC should be the one seed by all accounts. Does it matter, proba...

Re: Notre Dame's Ryan Wellner-Maybe Best Assistant In The Game Right Now?
At this rate, he should hang around and take over for Coach Corrigan when he retires. The Navy job comes with a great deal of prestige and resources. I grew up there. But damn, Notre Dame is Notre Dame. They have this thing humming there. As an Irish fan, I hope he sticks it out and gets passed the...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
ESPN puts the icing on the cake - They let everyone prattles on for minutes on end and then cut off Carcaterra in the middle of a post-game interview with the Kavanaughs Almost as hilarious as all the lunch pail references to LI - like all those Chaminade players are from working class families :( :...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
Cotter just announced that they will have the “Paul Show” at halftime. Great - let’s have Rabil on so he can promote the PLL with Carc. NOT looking forward to this. Hopefully I am wrong and they can keep it to NCAA lacrosse. It was the usual shill job. No idea why they are not discussing the game t...

Re: A Modest (Releasable) Rule Proposal?
So for some of us older laxers on the forum, we had an NCAA rule at one point, where penalties would release if the man-down team was able to get possession of the ball, clear it into the offensive zone, and touch a foot inside the restraining box. Would you be in favor of reinstating this rule? I ...

Re: House v NCAA
Talked with my son last evening and his reaction is that this deal should be rejected. The missing piece is collective bargaining. Once there’s a union to negotiate on an ongoing basis, this can be worked out to benefit all the athletes rather than the NCAA or power conferences alone. Yup. Otherwis...

Re: Connecticut 2024
You do have a valid argument. It will never happen but like other states, maybe a "parochial" division needs to be formed with -Prep -St Joes -East Catholic -ND West Haven -St Pauls -Northwest Catholic -ND Fairfield -Xavier -St Bernard -Holy Cross -Immaculate Add in Canterbury and St Luke...

Re: Connecticut 2024
Have to think it's Prep in LL. They are just playing better right now than any of the FCIAC teams. Maybe not hands above - but they're playing better. And as if in rebuttal to a point upon which I have harped since fire became manageable and wheels got strapped to wagons...I believe that the vast m...

Re: Long Island 2024
EI totally dominant so far. 6-0 in 2nd quarter. 8-0 East Islip now. Should be an interesting matchup against either South Side or Manhasset. On a related note, I saw somewhere that the LIC's are Wednesday 5/29/24. Then the Nassau County site listed an additional round on 6/1/24 as a regional and th...

Another piece of LI lacrosse trivia - HHH coach in 1962 was Bill Martens....a familiar name to many (although not as a HC but as a longtime assistant coach at Ward Melville)

Hills 9, Northport 8 final great game. congrats Hills, long wait is over! bring it back home. Very impressive, this Hills squad. They should be the heavy favorite over Farmingdale or Massapequa! It's about time. Ray Enners AKA "The Machine" would be proud of those Hills kids today
We should have done it in 1969 but were upset by Huntington in the semis and we were loaded that year, too. Dour Schreiber was the captain.

Brackets are out at CIAC LL - 17 teams; 1 play-in LL - - 22 teams - 6 play-ins M - 16 teams no play-ins S - 13 teams no play-ins Daniel Hand (7-9) is the 1 seed in M I think you would be hard pressed to find a coach in the M tourney who isn’t glad they are #1, except I guess Barlow who prefer they ...
