Re: Northwestern at Maryland, 4/6 6 p.m.
Maryland's D isn't all that. pure and simple. If they werent winning so many draws, this could get ugly. Last few years, Maryland has struggled against teams with 4+ scorers. they do well against 1 or 2 prong attacks, struggle against multi-faceted attacks. Terps don’t have a single defender who ca...

Re: Games Today
I think NU will not have much trouble with the Terps today. NU has great ball movement and a plethora of scorers. I have a question , for a number of years now NU offense pulls the ball out high on the wing and the adjacent offensive player drives directly into the defender on ball while the offensi...

Most teams if they face guard don't play zone ...which is all Cuse plays. SB transfer Finn from UMass will open some eyes. Cuse by 5.laxfan9999 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 12:16 pm I think Cuse will just try to lock her off with Benoit who has done a great job on other stars.

I have not noticed and I apologize if the topic has been discussed but what's up with #15. Totally invisible...from a player described as generational talent. Had more than enough time serving her apprenticeship while Heels stars carried the load.

Where to watch todays games
Can anyone help out with games being streamed and where to find them. Inside Lacrosse used to list all of the days games and where they could be found, but I don't see it today.

Re: Way too early Final Four
What are your thoughts about Towson for 2024? I havent really looked at them. I know my model had them with the 35th offense and 24th defense last year, so I would expect them to improve on that 6-9 record. That is a guess, because I dont know what they are losing. I think I see them as an NCAA tea...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023-2024
In other coaching news, Hollie Schleicher named assistant at Cornell a few weeks back. Schoellkopf a pretty good spot to start your coaching career. Safe to say she will demand defensive and ground ball commitment from her players—“Kamikaze” commitment as one poster put it. Yell Cornell On Schleich...

Re: Recruiting
Well, yes, Northwestern had that period of drought, but again, it was also during the worst four years of that drought that Northwestern had a top ranked recruiting class as a significant part of their team, so I’m not sure what conclusions can be drawn based on these recruiting rankings. Agreed. M...

You can't believe everything you read on the web, but maybe parents and prospective student-athletes consider things like this: https://crimegrade.org/safest-places-in-college-park-md/ I don't think that's it. I'm struggling to find college towns with wlax that have even a C rating. I've been to a ...

Re: Recruiting
I think it is nuts to try to project how high school sophomores (which is what they were the last time they held a lacrosse stick) will do in college. Players may look very good now, but they may plateau. Or they may not be able to adjust to the higher level of competition. Or other things can happ...

Re: Recruiting
Exactly. Why is Spallina such a great get when several people on this site said she would not start at UNC or BC for a few years. That does not sound "great". Always good to get a top tier player but individual rankings dont mean much until proven on the field. Just look at a few top 5 re...

Can’t speak to why Apuzzo was only an alternate, but my recollection about Lasota is entirely different. It was well known that she was Canada’s top offensive threat. Even I knew that. I was worried about her even before the event began. She had had a blockbuster freshman year. Take a look at the a...

Like Long Island? Please no!!! Haha. In fairness to them, they always get the short end of the travel stick. Driving up to the Island has a bad reputation, but it really isn’t all that bad if you time it right. The last time it was on Long Island was when Stony Brook hosted and I'm pretty sur...

Re: ACC Semi No. 2 -- Syracuse v. UNC
Staying in the zone is killing Cuse. UNC is too smart offensively to continue to trot out the same defense every possession. If you look at what Duke and Clemson did the last few games, player to player defense with early slides at least slowed down the UNC offense some. Either way- UNC is bound to...

I'm glad that I actually got to watch a game. Don't have my Cable at present, thus I am left with Streaming. Not great with the freezing and lapses, plus you seem to always have to pay to get another channel or service to watch ONE game. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this game. NU came to play and they were...

UMD was my preseason #1 and fav to win the natty ... The "dream team" defense that was promised (and I expected) has yet to materialize. I am very familiar with Donovan and was dubious about her ability to adapt to a non-princeton system ... the transfer and the freshman look lost ... and...

I'm really interested in the ND vs. Clemson game. No dog in this fight but Clemson has been playing a really weak schedule and this will be their first real test. Agreed. Both beating similar teams by similar scores. Well, Notre Dame traveled to Evanston and lost 18-14, in a game in which Scane sco...

Terps didn’t win a single match up. Draw was a total disaster. Not that extra possessions would have helped the Terps anemic offense.
