You’re selling yourself short, Hoo Boy. He fell to sixth.

Re: Conference Champion Picks

Ivy - I think Princeton is fully back to their “pre-covid” dominance. What now? I couldve worded that better. That 2020 Princeton team was 5-0 when covid hit and was on a war path led by Michael Sowers, Chris Brown, and Connor McCarthy. Mind you Sam English and Jake Stevens were second line/rotatio...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production

The whole broadcast is lame. The play by play guy looks about 12. The camera is too far away, making it hard to see the ball. The lacrosse is pretty bad as well.

Re: IL Preseason Media Poll

Putting Will Mark as the #2 goalie in the nation is a bold move. With an improved face off unit and wing play along with an improved defense he should be even better this yr. He got peppered last yr in some games as teams had double the possessions and shots on goal. Kid hung tough and made ridicul...

Teams that will probably finish lower than their rankings here:

ND
PSU
Cuse
Michigan
Rutgers
Richmond

Re: IL's Top 50 Men's College Lacrosse Players For 2024

Looks like 6 goalies and 4 FOGOs on the list. 20% of the top 50 lacrosse players coming from these two positions seems high. Conversely, only 3 LSM and 3 SSDM, or 12% of the total, seems low. Yeah, but maybe that is how the chips fall this year. Would probably need to track over multiple years to s...

The one thing that’s missing here is that no Delbarton parent is going to allow his son to matriculate to Manhattan. Not intending to dis MC, but that’s just the way it is.

Re: Big East 2024

Fraser and Reid Colwell were indeed named Honorable Mentions by USA Lacrosse Magazine, and Fraser was recognized as the same by Inside Lacrosse Magazine. Just not by the USILA. I think Georgetown had five USILA AAs.

Re: Big East 2024

The USILA is the official sanctioning body for AAs. On that list for 2023 I only see Campbell and Comizio. Both first team. No one else from Nova on second, third or honorable mention.

Re: #1 Duke Vs #3 Notre Dame National Championship- 05/29 @ 1:00 PM

Duke will be stuck Up on Cripple Creek if Levon doesn’t step it up. 29% ain’t cutting in. Heck, Nunez was 57% with 17 saves v ND and still lost. I’d expect Helm to be meaningfully better Monday. Just watch. Come on, Man! I watched. Levon was better than he was on Saturday, but certainly not dialed ...

Re: #1 Duke Vs #3 Notre Dame National Championship- 05/29 @ 1:00 PM

Not even close. A fine goalie, but his numbers were the weakest in at least five years of any Kelly award winner. 57% and 9.3 GAA are not the stuff of Tewaaraton finalists. Since Galloway twelve years ago the guy who perhaps should have been in the Tewey picture is Pugh from Richmond - 66% and 6.5 o...

Re: Georgetown 2023

Congratulations to the Hoyas on another successful season. While the mercenary experiment didn’t quite pan out, let’s look at the culture Warne has built regardless. The rejuvenation of the program after the dark spell following Urick’s glory years two decades ago begins with Warne’s first full recr...

Re: Tewaaraton Finalist

Fun fact for all the Dordevic haters out there. He has scored at least one goal in every game over the past two years. The last time he was shut out? Ironically, in the first round of the 2021 NCAA tournament against Georgetown. Five shots, three on goal.

Re: Georgetown 2023

Congratulations to all the Hoya players and coaches on their fifth straight Big East championship. Special shoutout to Declan McDermott and James Reilly who join Owen McElroy and Gibson Smith as the only players in BIg East history to have earned four championship rings.
