Re: MAAC 2024
They were 5 and 4 in the MAAC last year and got bumped in the first round. Very good this year, but I wouldn’t say they “came into the MAAC and ran things”.

Re: MOUNT ST MARYS 2023
Given adequate support from their school, good coaches will tend to do well regardless of school or conference. Schools looking for new coaches tend to be drawn to assistants at big name programs. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. RU took a chance on Brecht that most AD’s would not and it...

Re: How First-Year Coaches With DI Programs Are Doing
Not sure how they would have won the MAAC this year. They played 4 MAAC teams and lost to 3. The did beat Wagner who was 2 and 7 in the MAAC.

Re: Your Favorite DI Stadiums That Are Not In Top Four(Or So Conferences)?
Ok if you want to look at fields and mountains, but the stadium is pretty risky dink.

Re: MAAC 2022
Marist has looked pretty good in their scrimmages. Beat LIU and St. John’s convincingly, beat Albany and Hofstra by more. Took it on the chin from Vermont who is very good. Face offs could be an issue, but other than that they are solid across the board. Attack and LSM are top notch.

Re: Marist 2022
Well, I could say Marist best Hofstra, Albany and LIU this fall (lost to Vermont). More recent, but fall ball is pretty useless info too. They should probably just stay home and skip the bloodbath.

Re: Marist 2022
Sorry dude, but unfortunately Marist hasn’t played much since that Army win. My point was that they still have 4 of their top 6 scorers from that game and they won’t be an easy out for anyone. (BTW, it’s unfortunate that coach A. hasn’t been able to find a spot on his schedule for Marist since that ...

Re: Marist 2022
Other than FO, this is mostly the same Marist team that blew out Army two years ago 17-9 just after Army embarrassed Rutgers 15-4. I expect a competitive game.

Re: Fall Ball Scrimmages
UVM looked very good beating Marist 18-7, winning almost every face off. They looked very solid all around. Marist turned it around and downed Albany 15-11, winning 3 of 4 quarters. They did much better at the face off and their attack scored a lot of goals, particularly Embury attacking from X. I h...

Re: Way too early rankings
You want Army to play Marist again? Better talk to Alberici because I guarantee you it’s not coach Wilks who ”hasn’t been able to find an opening in his schedule “ for the past to years to schedule a replay.

Re: Utah
Petro, Starsia, Meade ? Why? All older guys who weren’t getting it done when they went out. There are some good young coaches out there who I believe would take Utah farther than the retreads, even though they don’t have the name recognition, such as McMinn, Moran or Wilkinson.

Re: MAAC 2021
Yes, I agree with what you have for Marist, including Detroit at Marist on 3/6. Apparently league made another round of changes and went from Marist @ Q’Pac to Detroit @ Marist.

Re: MAAC 2021
Don’t worry, Marist will be playing. Open with Q’Pac on 3/6 in a game that does not count in league standings, then play Q’Pac again on 3/13 in a game that does count in league standings. Each team will play a full 7 game league slate, preceded by a game on 3/6 that will not count in standings. Some...
