Re: 2024

West Chester squeaks out a W in OT vs Roberts Wesleyan. At times visibility was almost zero. Awful day for lacrosse. I feel the game said this level are as bizarre as d1 . Yesterday, Westchester spanks, East Stroudsburg barely beat the Delphi in overtime, which I’m sure that he would love back cons...

Re: Hobart 2024

I think you're mistaken 'Bart. What you're saying is the OOB and end lines were where the track begins. I wholeheartedly believe there was grass between the side and end lines and the track which was mowed while the field wasn't. It was like a clear message to Cuse of we're going to stick it in you...

Re: NU at UNC 3/25

To the suggestion that defenders might start taking cheap shots on attackers who go to goal — YIKES! — that to me is a really disappointing comment. 100% wrong. Attackers scoring at the end of a game are competing 100% within the rules. A defender has every right to aggressively defend within the r...

Re: NU at UNC 3/25

Interesting. I may agree with you to a point. But, if you are glad at a little FU revenge would you also be ok/glad if a player on the end of the FU revenge acted out physically on the shooter? Would this be poor sportsmanship or just cleaning house....so to speak. I feel like this is a gotcha ques...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GJmCcmyXIAAtW0l?format=jpg&name=small Right up top, I acknowledge that I'm riffing off a previous post without quote/tagging because this is a sentiment that often gets voiced in the mainstream. I am addressing that general sentiment, not a specific poster. They just...

Re: NU at UNC 3/25

Don’t have any inside knowledge and am really just exercising my inherent poster-right to speculate, but if Ingrilli was healthy, wouldn’t she be playing? I thought there used to be a 50% rule, that is, if you played more than 50% of the year, you couldn’t red shirt even if you got injured. Is that...

Agreed; kept their poise when it closed to 7-5 in the 3rd.

JMU at UVA at 5:00. UVA by 1, 15-14 in 11 overtimes. Please? Lets just pump the brakes a little. I can't see it going much past 9 overtimes. You've always shown more maturity and moderation than I have, Bart. Thanks........my mom would have been so proud for someone to actually say that about...

Re: New Programs

Great comments, I did say "they go to some expensive private or overpriced out-of-state school that has "ehhhh" academic standards to play a D2 sport". Most all the schools I am familiar with allow stacking of athletic and academic money. We all know lacrosse doesn't go above 40...

1- "ehhhhh" D2 colleges - I have watched a large number of high school girls work their asses off in AP and honors classes getting terrific grades for all their years of high school. Then when it's time to pick a college, they go to some expensive private or overpriced out-of-state school...

Re: New Programs

I guess I just had higher expectations for a two time D3 player and attacker of the year. I expected more than just a goal a game from a starter. I am sure Denver was anticipating something like Rhatigan jumping from Mercer to Northwestern. But you’re comparing apples to oranges here. Rhatigan jump...

Re: New Programs

It is interesting that Earley has not been nearly as effective as people expected going to Denver this year. Is this because Middlebury was so much better than most teams they played with crazy depth? I guess I wonder who expected more than she’s given? In her move from D3 to D1 she’s done a pretty...

Re: New Programs

Then gap between D2 and D3 is even greater than the gap between D1 and D2. This seems like a broad brush. I bet the better D3 girls might have something to say about the gap to D2. Many chose their D3 schools for academic reasons in addition to strong lacrosse programs. Not true. the top 3 or 4 D3 ...
