What are the LL's best out of conference wins this year?
RIT over Tufts has got to be the top pick. Then what? SLU over CNU? Union and RPI over Midd? Others I'm missing?

Re: Liberty League 2024
A couple of fun storylines in what is otherwise an unnoteworthy SLU v Plymouth game: Plymouth's leading scorer (#10 Crosby Fay) is a SLU transfer out of New Hampton. I don't believe he saw any action for SLU (was maybe only there for a fall), but still a cool thing for him to lead his new team again...

Re: SUNY 2024
They also just started working with a S&C coach year round over the past few seasons and probably why you can notice those boys not getting ran off the field by C state like we did in the past since S&C was generally captain led. That seems to have added a whole new dimension to this progra...

Re: NESCAC
I’ve always had a hard time taking any “_____ is on the hot seat!!” comments seriously. Where is the evidence that any of these schools will fire a coach for performance reasons, let alone schools with successful programs? This isn’t the NFL. Maybe the real question is could/would any current NESCA...

Re: NESCAC
Tufts is very likely the only NCAA tournament team not playing a game this week....it's a certainty, I think. (Okay, maybe Amherst sneaks into pool C, but I'm not betting on it) That means they'll have the freshest legs in the nation come tournament time. Obviously, every guy on that roster and ever...

Re: 2024 Pool C
Another factor that plays into a school's decision to apply to host (and the NCAA's decision to allow them to host) is when their commencement is. At a place like St. Lawrence, it would be very very difficult for teams to find hotel space on short notice the same weekend as commencement. I'm not sur...

Re: NESCAC
Random yet somewhat related to the previous posts: There are 8 William’s (or Billy’s) on the Midd roster.
Has anybody ever seen a first name dominate a roster like that? EIGHT dudes with the same name seems crazy.

2) Who gets those #6 and #7 spots in each region can have a big impact on the vRRO records and will not be set in stone until Selection Sunday 3) Conference tournament games are not only opportunities to get the AQ, but can dramatically reshape a team's vRRO record even with a loss in the finals Th...

Re: Schools with architecture program
Norwich has a nice architecture program. I've heard of a few different students who were able to juggle the demanding program with being a varsity athlete. Both the guys I'm thinking of were civilians at Norwich....I'm not sure architecture plus corps of cadets plus playing on a team would work. God...

Trinity continues to roll. Got a goalie who is hot and not getting much pub about it. Told you all the goalie room at Trinity was fine. They play chippy and the refs dont like it. Only 4 more league gamesand they actually have a chance for a home game in the first round. Last 3/4 games on the road ...

Re: NESCAC
Between the Midd ten man ride, some untimely penalties for SLU and the SLU FOGO getting two violations early in the 1st Q (and thus creating a much more even battle at the FO dot) there were stretches in the first half where SLU barely touched the ball. Even when Midd got out of the ten man, the thr...

Re: NESCAC
Thoughts on this weeks games? Wesleyan VS Trinity - It seems as if Trinity once again has hit a late season stride and is able to utilize the talent they have on the team, but Wesleyan comes confident after a huge upset and having one of the best seasons they have had in a while. Going to take Wesl...

Down goes Florida Southern in OT to Embry-Riddle Embry-Riddle has a good thing going. Anybody who knows John Jez, what he's about and how he coaches; should not be shocked to see the program turning things around....and he still doesn't have any of his recruits there yet. Keep an eye on them. HUGE ...

Re: NCAA Proposal re Tournament Selection Criteria
The only thing I can think of as to why this is being pushed so hard from the powers that be is the fact that for many teams it costs a lot of money to build a strong schedule with a top SOS. How much money will schools save, department wide, when they play conference opponents and the schools withi...

Re: Commonwealth Coast
I said this on another thread but it's relevant here as well.... Keep an eye on the University of Hartford to make a quick run to the upper tier of the CCC. Will they compete with the big two anytime soon.....no, I think that's asking a lot. Could they end up in the 3-4 conversation a lot sooner tha...

Re: SUNY 2024
Watched a lot of Platt v Norwich yesterday. Norwich has some guys who can score, and has done a nice job of building their program over the past decade; but if you told me 5 years ago that Norwich would double up Platty at Plattsburgh I'd have said you're out of your mind. Between COVID and a few co...
