Re: Tampa vs lynn

Aside from the officiating. Lynn is a very competitive team across the board. Give them a full out of conference schedule and I think they would easily be a top ten team. Tampa has a ton of talent , think the conference only hurts them. Feel the SSC hurts all these teams. No reason for it, shame on ...

Re: Tampa vs lynn

I have been watching official #99 for many years. Has no idea what he’s doing. They have to have more to choose from in florida.

Tampa vs lynn

Is it me. Or are the ssc officials the worst youve ever seen. I really think they have no idea what the rules of lacrosse are. Both ways btw

WhiteCarrera wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:01 pm I’m not saying who would’ve won it, but I don’t think Tampa would have gotten past Lindenwood. LU has beaten them two of the last three years, and they have a senior pole that ate Dickerson for lunch last year.
Must have been eating lean cuisines. According to box score LU was 4-22 on FO

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

You're right, Kew did nothing wrong. If the situation was switched, you know damn well this board would have been blowing up with Stone supporters. I've had my say, enough is enough. You're also correct, Tampa should have won a couple of those early games, and ...we did have a home playoff game. Goo...

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

I am obviously biased but I don’t see Forren going at Kew.

You're right, Forren didn't step out, leave his feet, or turn his back. And there was no push during the dive

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

But yet Plank is who they called the penalty on (see box score). No clue by the officials. HHmmm who was the push on...idk, lets give it to that kid standing out in front of the crease. And yes, both officials had a perfect view of the play and neither one came to the conclusion that the contact by ...

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

#49 was not even in the play, he was standing out in front of the crease when it happened. So the officials did not even get the correct number when calling the push. In other words, you have no idea who the push was on, but it certainly wasn't #49. No where near the play. And how can you say his di...

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

What I see in the video was Kew stepping toward the goal line on the dodge, and not making it all the way to GLE (maybe a foot away for his right foot), then one step away from the GLE as he is moving toward the far edge of the crease. Last step is parallel to GLE/goal line and that is the dive, wi...

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

Fact of the matter remains. Whether Forren stepped out or not. Kew's Dive was heading up field from GLE, away from Goal mouth. Even according to the Goalie coach explanation, that is a goal. Officials called the Defenseman for the push in the back which resulted in Kew entering the crease. If no pus...

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

Don't know what your looking at. Forren clearly leaves his feet towards Kew, while 2 defenders are pushing him into the crease. Dive was also in no way towards the goal mouth. He was heading up field

Re: Preview of South Quarterfinal - Stone/Tampa

Nice recap on games Red...That being said, let's address the elephant in the room. Sad that the officials decided this game, and wrong call at that. Kew's waved off goal in overtime should have counted and game over. #1 - Officials called that he dove towards the goal mouth and made contact with the...

Re: NCAA Tournament

I would have to think getting the bye will be a huge advantage. Winners from first game will basically play Wednesday evening/night, go home, pack and either get on a bus or plane the next morning. No rest for the weary. Not to mention try and study for finals

Re: Final _Published_ Regional Rankings (5/1/19)

It's all about the money. There are very few, if any, that have the unlimited funds to travel as much as they should or could. Agree, it is a shame that the NCAA doesn't subsidize some of the travel. It would absolutely allow more teams to play some that they would never schedule due to cost. Don't ...

Re: Final _Published_ Regional Rankings (5/1/19)

So let me get this straight. Lynn traveled 2,500 miles to play mesa in Utah (Lynn was home team) Mesa traveled around 250 miles. Mesa is used to the temperature and altitude, Lynn is not. Your telling me that there is no advantage to either team? Give Lynn credit for going out there. I don't see a w...

Re: Final _Published_ Regional Rankings (5/1/19)

Not sure I understand your reasoning. Neutral or not, I don't how 8-9 hour bus ride doesn't constitute a road game out of state. Or for that matter flying across the country to play at a neutral site, where the other team has a couple hour trip. So, just because someone is the HOME team at a neutral...

Re: Final _Published_ Regional Rankings (5/1/19)

Tampa played 4 away games outside of florida. Not sure what schedule you're looking at. Lynn had 5 road games and flew out west to Utah to play 2 of them

Re: 4/17/2019 Regional Rankings

Actually i dont. Its the any given day scenerio. Yes lynn beat tampa. But lynn also lost to Southern that tampa beat twice. Thats my point. let the games play out. If lynn beats tampa again then the entire argument is moot. There are many teams that have lost games they shouldnt have. Look at lenior...
