Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Dano entering late-stage Starsia coaching zone? The end of the Starsia era was BAD. How long did they go without an ACC win? But I hear your point. Bottom line: the offense hasn’t lived up to its potential with Dino Jr running the show. Time for him to go. Ironically, he was the ONeill of his era. ...

Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Duke has 2, maybe 3, goalies in the roster that are seniors or grad students. One of which started in the national championship game last year. It is coaching malpractice to keep a freshman keeper in there, allow him to implode, and keep experienced upperclassmen on the sideline.

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Now that the women’s transfer portal is open, what is it looking like? Are there a bunch of players looking to make a switch? heard a few VT players are in the portal. Do not know which ones At least 6. Mostly starters. Losing 24 girls from roster next year. How losing 24?? That's a huge number. 6 ...

anyone have any insight on what is going on at Xavier? Heard from my daughter who is a freshman at another school (but had a club teammate at Xavier) that more than half the Xavier team entered the portal last week. Assume its a coaching issue.. Xavier coach brought her husband on as an assistant w...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
Quint & Carc spent 6 hours of the Ivy League Tournament proclaiming that the Ivy League had off-the-charts talent and was going to be the best conference in the country next year :!: Probably a one off for the audience of that weekend. I expect they will revert to their norm of the last 10 year...

Re: Teams you won’t recognize in 2025
Notre Dame loses a bunch: Pat Kavanaugh, Eric Dobson, Liam Entemann, Reilly Gray, Chris Conlin, Devon McLane, Marco Napolitano, Carter Parlette, Ross Burgmaster. Still think they will be pretty good next year, but that's a lot. Potential for Faison as well if he has a strong fall and decides to foc...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Niagara dealing with it on Friday makes it WORSE. It doesn’t make Joe’s argument weaker. I am no fan of Joe, but he is spot on in the situation. It’s an embarrassment. If you don’t have the facilities and accommodations to host, you shouldn’t be hosting. It’s pretty simple. Not only did they host, b...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
I think Joe is fighting an uphill battle at Stonybrook. With a growth of the game and the expansion of programs at BCS level schools, it’s becoming harder and harder for schools like Stonybrook to be national championship contenders. Of course, he wants to win a national championship, but they’re pr...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
Time and again, Joe Beninati is the best our sport has to offer. I love hearing his calls on the Sunday night Big Ten games. And now we are blessed with his call in the tourney. His lacrosse IQ is off the charts (having been a collegiate goalie) but he uses it in a way which provides meaningful cont...

DP yes, but should have been SS as well and, thus, offsetting. Do they even apply the rules anymore? Bill: Want your head to explode? As Division 1 head coaches, you are responsible for filling out a referee evaluation form after each game. Conference mandate. I once sat in a conference head coache...

Re: NCAA Tournament Games Scheduling Disgrace
The men’s first round games have been on this schedule (and broadcast schedule) since at least 2008 (that is to say I remember back that far). 4 games on ESPNU on Saturday and 4 games on ESPNU on Sunday. The women’s broadcast schedule on ESPN+ is baffling because it is streaming service. There are n...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Brutal end of game situation for Stanford Denver. The running clock rule that late in the game is a joke. Incentivizes the defense to foul just to burn time. Bummer for Stanford.

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
As far as the Furman hire, there is no context to why she is a bad hire. Started 2 program in the last 8 years. Went 74-22 at UAH over 6 seasons (including the 7 game Covid season) and went 24-11 in 2 seasons at Anderson (SC). This year they finished in a 3 way tie for the regular season SAC champi...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
Furman fired up their programs by hiring Richie Meade and Rachel. They even held a press conference at the final four. So much promise.
Here we are 10-12 years later with a cancelled men’s lacrosse program and Gail Wallach leading the women’s program. Yikes.
