Re: Patriot League 2020 Championship Final Prediction (Poll)
Loyola plays UVA/JHU/Rutgers/Towson 1-3 or 2-2?... This is the toughest one. 2-2. Lehigh plays UT/UVA/VMI/NJIT 3-1 or 4-0?... 4-0?! Really?!... 3-1. I agree that the first is the toughest one. Maybe I am underestimating UT, but I didn't want to use 2-2 since losing more than one of the first four g...

Re: Navy 2020
I have nothing against Coach Amplo and hope he is successful--just pointing out the hypocrisy with regard to the reception RS received... Who would I have hired? Tillman--but he expertly leveraged the Navy offer with more $$ from UMD. Chemotti -- but he did likewise with Richmond..what about Torpey...

Re: Navy 2020
Hello fellow Navy MLax fans! Emerging from a period of lax hibernation, including on this board. A few thoughts: 1. Welcome to Coach Joe Amplo! He seems like a great fit for the unique demands of the Navy job and he’s assembled a great coaching staff. He’s known as “one of the good guys” in college...

via Paul Carcaterra: UNC Most Points in a Season 81-Bruce Ledwith(1973) 80-Marcus Holman(2013) 78-Jimmy Bitter(2015) Chris Gray had 106 points for BU in 2019...without any NCAA tournament game(s). Be interesting. Helluva player. He did play 17 games. UNC only has 14 scheduled. Young team last year ...

Patriot League 2020 Championship Final Prediction (Poll)
Patriot League pre season top-20 ranked teams 14. Loyola What's life without Pat Spencer, Jacob Stover and Chase Scanlan going to look like for Gang Green? Aidan Olmstead and Kevin Lindley seize the moment. LSM Ryan McNulty is a havoc creator — he can actually cover the ball-carrier which is seeming...

Re: Navy 2020
Any update from Chapel Hill? Maybe Youth is there? Twitter had Jacksonville ahead of UNC 17-14 in the first scrimmage there. What kind of start will we see from the Coach Amplo era? I am thinking that a year has made a huge difference and a new tone has been set. I know that it isn't where you start...

Re: Navy 2020
Great feature story in Cap Gazette. Thank you, Bill Wagner. Hearty congratulations to Ford Higgins for joining the lacrosse team. It will be easy to root for him, and no doubt he'll have a positive impact on the rest of the team. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing lacrosse experience the same turnaround this...

Re: Navy 2020
Fairly light analysis and there is no mention of the firstie captains who will undoubtedly set the tone for the 2020 team. Plus, several mids who are integral to the defense didn't start every game but played significant minutes last spring. Coach Amplo has instilled a different tone quickly so let'...

Re: Navy 2020
I can tell you my son was NOT promised anything, coach even told him maybe by your junior or senior year you'll be ready to contribute. My son called his bluff when he arrived. ++++1 Not surprised that the bluff was called because your son certainly had extra incentive to work hard and prove Coach ...

Re: Holy Cross 2020
Well, historically I would agree on that. Besides Lehigh I am not sure what other fogo will beat 45. Also his back up won 100% of the draws in fall ball. All the top teams have good coaching and each game will be a battle. Even though BU lost some huge offensive and defensive players they are still...

Re: Navy 2020
Here we go again?! I guess Navy fans have to wait 5 years until Amplo gets his recruits to run his offense before success? His record suggests otherwise but losing a top 100 recruit doesn’t help. Not the first year that a couple of recruits haven't made it through NAPS. Last academic year was devas...

Re: Navy 2020
Amplo did a nice job w the staff. Come September, it’s time to pull away from the dock and let RS go away. Time to move on. People have talked about Navy's expectations. Here is what I think Navy can do with the right coach: 1. often make the Patriot League Title game 2. make several postseason app...

Re: Navy 2020
Coach Byrne is a consummate professional and class act. Notre Dame is most fortunate to now have Coach Wellner, another consummate professional and class act, as their new defensive coach. Hopefully, Navy vs. ND will be on the MLax schedule in 2020 and beyond. I wonder if Coach Byrne will be vilifi...

Re: Navy 2020
The other issue is that he just plays starters and sticks with that and no one else gets ANY playing time. Roster sizes are huge, and he almost never puts in backups. More than half the kids on the roster never even see the field. If you're deep into the Fourth Quarter and you're winning big or you...

Re: Coaching Carousel Pre-2020 Season
Does the length of time Harvard is taking to make an announcement tell us anything? Maybe a hire that is more complicated than would be typical, like a coach whose wife has to relocate her medical practice? BU Twitter We're thrilled to announced that Ryan Polley has agreed to a multi-year contract ...

Now that I say that, I was thinking it was this summer for some reason, not July 2020. I wonder if those Navy guys realize they will be in the middle of plebe summer in Annapolis or INDOC at NAPS. Unless they are considering a change in school? Makes one wonder how they were even invited by the lea...

Re: Transfer Poll: Chase Scanlan - Open through July 12th
Adjusting to life off the Rez is seldom easy and I am having some dissonance over his reasons for leaving LC and listing VA, Hop etc. as a destination for cultural reasons. That's what I think we're all scratching our heads over, OC. For all we know it could just be a list of schools where he happe...

Re: Transfer Poll: Chase Scanlan - Open through July 12th
man, that's a weird list given what he had to say about his reasons for transferring, penn state and syracuse look like they belong. the rest... not so much. unless he has some ex-teammates or friends at another school that could pull him in, i'd guess it's one of those 2. uva dark horse with lars ...
