Re: Yale v UVa - should VA bother showing up?
UVA showed you can lose a majority of face offs and still control the game. They did what Penn State couldn't do. Play defense and goalie make some stops

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Leave the face offs as is. Maybe Penn State should play some defense. I don't think it is any more unfair to have a great face off guy than to have the Gait bros on the same team. Maybe we should make Mac O'Keefe shoot every other shot right handed.

Re: ~Loyola University Lacrosse 2019~
Happy about how our defense played Ament and Okeefe? Not particularly, but I definitely understand why. And not sure if we really had any other viable options. Who did our defense shut down all season? We were grasping for answers on the defensive side for a few weeks this season and we moved to mo...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Drink every time either Anish or Quint refers to some player as a former high school football player. It’s as if they’re trying to justify the sports athletic chops by saying “hey, these guys played football in high school!!” I think this urge to justify permeates their presentation. Let the play o...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Hats off to Anish who closed the door for anyone else in the race for the Pulitzer Prize in journalism with his philosophic breakthrough, "The only way to beat Penn St. is to outscore them". Wonder if that can be applied to other sports as well. Thanks sooo much. I had the mute on so I di...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Ryan Conrad makes a really good play at midfield line on Md player. He ends up making a pass to open man resulting in a score. Carc says "the switchblade" made a really good play. Not to be outdone Quint says he "pitch forked" the Md player. Put the two together and you get "...

Re: Towson 2019
two things I did not like about the Bernhart tieing score. The pole playing the man with ball was at least 5 yds off him. Should have at least been poking at his hands and 2 - do not let Bernhart catch the ball. When he started cutting over the middle he should have been stopped any way possible. Ta...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
some questions. 1 - Why does ESPNU think that a interview with a haircut is a good use of half time of broadcast Lax game. 2 - Why does Carcaterra think that costume he had on while doing an interview was a good look for him. 3 - Was it cold in the locker room. His costume consisted of shorts with b...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Quint, Anish, and Carc. we have been complaining about this trio for at least 2yrs, I guess ESPN doesn't really care what we think. I make good use of the mute button whenever they are on. I still would like to know when 2nd middie line comes on the field. When a team is in a zone defense and what a...

Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station
Like listening to a three-headed version of fromer Yankee broadcaster, Phil Rizzuto. Play-by-play man actually re-directed the conversation back to stickball after the other two had dropped it! Only thing missing was a conversation about canolis from the Rizzuto playbook. At least Rizzuto had the g...
