Re: Women’s Lacrosse Needs Parity
The indoor game is a separate creature. No real defense so it is a game for 1v1 dodging. Shooting space rarely called as well it is go to goal. Some of my best players were actually not great indoors and vice versa.

Re: IWLCA Presidents Cup
I remember complaining about how inconvenient the Naples Fla. location was until they moved it to Disney . Why all the Disney torture when you are there for Lax. No more Presidents cup for this family but love hearing the experiences in West palm beach

Re: Another Informal Survey Question
So true: I am still coaching years after the D's have graduated and many parents have those pods on the sidelines and heaters /hot hands. The best is one parent with an RV that rolled it in for bad weather tourneys. Sorry to see his daughter graduate LOL.

Re: Looking forward to 2020
Very smart-they beat JHU and lost by 1 to Fla last year . You only get better playing good teams and SOS is helpful for rankings. They have no competition in the conference anymore.

Re: Will Maryland repeat?
MD can't get all the recruits obviously , but they have a nice assortment of MD,MY,PA ,NJ girls and the Mcd/ M&D pipeline is OK also. There are other great top 20 programs with great academics getting girls as well. I think if CR came calling for your D -there would be some level of interest.

Re: Will Maryland repeat?
Fallball is mostly for the freshman and new transfers to see what they have. It is much like preseason football. It is hard to believe MD will not be right there -they get the top recruits in the country every year. For the sake of the sport growing -it would be great for some other team to win this...

Re: Ivy League issue?
A similar thing happened with Campbell. Many players gone due to Coach and culture across all years but not Ivy league so no one cares. 2 Seniors out of 9 or 10 . Key starters gone mostly transferring. This goes on in a lot of schools but changing Coaches is uncomfortable so most blame goes on the k...

Re: Ivy League issue?
Lets not assume to know anything . There are a ton of programs with issues in Coaching not just players partying. I am sure it will all come out.

Re: Women’s Lacrosse Needs Parity
Interesting thought (at least to me!) - How about dropping the draw and instead alternating possessions, could that potentially lead for at least a bit more parity - meaning closer games. I know there has been discussion at all levels of wlax about potentially changing up the draw rules. All you ne...

Re: Women’s Lacrosse Needs Parity
I agree with Seacoaster-the athleticism and physical nature of the game is improving each year. In the 20-50 range it is about recruiting top talent. The top 10 get the pick of the litter. Lax is a team sport and any weaker players will be exploited by a top team-so any drop off is amplified. You do...

Re: Games Televised and Webcasted 2019
UVA /JMU game should tell us a lot about both teams Florida has tough schedule losing some close ones but they force to goal a little too much at key situations -would like to see the assisted goals late in games. I have been following UNC -it was nice to see Levy empty the bench in second half agai...

Re: Women's Lacrosse Broadcasts: Comments and Reviews
I totally agree with you both. I am surprised with all the communication majors and ex athletes that no one steps up to really learn the game and rules/calls. I remember my daughters first college game in which the commentator stated that we need to get the first face-off-I knew it was going to be a...
