Re: NESCAC

Didn’t watch any of the game, but St. John Fisher is not very good this year - that is a huge upset. So much for what would have been a very interesting St. Lawrence-Wesleyan matchup with two completely different styles. Will have to wait until the QFs against Tufts. Related…does this impact hosting...

Re: ODAC 2024

FWIW Massey ratings' prediction has it as a 50/50 tossup.

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024

What looked like the first good matchup of the weekend is as competitive as hoped/expected, Babson-Denison has been a really good game through three quarters.

Re: NESCAC

if babson losses to denison, that will be an embarrassment. i don’t see it happening. denison doesn’t have a good win all year (Looking past the fact that neither of those teams plays in the NESCAC) Why? Denison is a very good program (and has been for a long time), and Babson is in year two as a t...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024

Been a minute ah23. Shaping up for a good weekend of lacrosse. Any games you're looking forward to or have an eye on for upsets? Probably most interested in Babson-Denison and Swarthmore-Endicott for R2. Three upstarts and a traditionally successful program in matchups we would never get to see oth...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024

St Lawrence is over-rated. Wes is going to hand them a can of whoop arse and if they don't, then Tufts will. Winning 1 goal game in OT Is not dominate and besides RPI and RIT, Union the Liberty league is ghetto. Union is good but like someone said early - Tufts made them look like a bunch of high s...

Re: Liberty League 2024

DId you watch either of the two slu rpi games? first one was never close and second was dominated by goalies with a handful of pipes early, could've gone either way Not really, only saw a bit of the second one. Regardless. those are only two games (that the teams split!) in a long year. Again, both...

Re: Liberty League 2024

It does not make sense to me. Apparently this was decided before the LL tournament. Not sure why Mahoney winning Coach of the Year is a head scratcher. If the award was decided before the Semis there is no reason he shouldn't win, picked 4th in preseason (go back to beginning of this thread, SLU is...

Re: Liberty League 2024

Coaching Staff of the Year: St. Lawrence University – Head https://libertyleagueathletics.com/news/2024/5/6/liberty-league-announces-2024-mens-lacrosse-awards.aspx St. Lawrence has had a great season, but how in the world did this go to anyone other than the RPI staff? They massively outperformed b...

Re: NESCAC

Just to be blunt...basically every issue in this forum over the past three months has been caused by a single account (and, technically, its alts) that breaks site rules over and over again because they (correctly) bet that there won't be consequences beyond a polite comment from a red username ever...

Babson-Denison is an awesome matchup; love when the tournament gives us unfamiliar H2Hs like that.

Re: NESCAC

Early bracket thoughts: Wesleyan : very tough draw overall. Probably a slight favorite to make it out of the first weekend, but they arguably have the toughest Sunday game of any host (and potentially the same is true for the QFs). Bird Battle in R1 shouldn't be as hard as the brand name suggests; S...

Re: NESCAC

For four months you chirped Middlebury. But they made the conference final. Then they made the NCAAs with a 10-8 record…because of their strong schedule, which you bashed. Choochoo crying himself to sleep tonight. Why did the dead baby cross the road, Blaine? I would have put in Amherst over Bowdoi...

Union by a longshot. The other two will probably be narrow favorites at worst; Union has to play a team that beat them by a million goals.

Re: Liberty League 2024

LOVING the parity at the top of D-III this year, RPI is tough as hell. Thought RIT was going to cruise today, very happy to be wrong about that (and very happy that RPI and their broadcast team will hopefully be doing the hosting in the tournament).

Laxwizard wrote: Sun May 05, 2024 10:59 am If you look at one of the linked documents in the previous braketology article it says they may weigh the last 25% of the season more with approval of the championship committee (in subsection (f))
Was that from an IL article? Cant find anything from the NCAA that mentions it.
