Donohue and Eymer also stayed for grad years, I think that’s it though.Unknown Participant wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 12:33 pm I can think of two that stayed an extra year (but I think there were 1-2 more). Trieber stayed in 21 and Murtha last year.

Re: NESCAC
Is Garzone really the only senior in the starting lineup? Had no idea, I assumed at least Tagliaferri/Waldbaum/Panagopolous were as well because they’ve been contributors for several years.

Re: RIT vs Tufts
Went with RIT for two pretty simple reasons: 1. I think they are a better team than Tufts 2. I think their ability to play multiple styles means they can make Tufts uncomfortable in a way that almost no other team can As much as RIT can put teams in a blender on offense (see: second half avalanches ...

Eh, saying that W&L should have been favored in the semis is up there.

Re: NESCAC
Rewriting someone's comment to intentionally misrepresent what they said isn't an "opinion". It's a lie. I dropped all my NESCAC dislikes years ago, but when I played Tufts was #4 for me (and there was a pretty big gap to #s 3/2/1). Everyone else in the conference was fine. Same POV was tr...

Are you kidding me? I already did, but please report them for openly lying about what I wrote in my comment and intentionally misrepresenting what I said.

Re: NESCAC
Amherst, Williams, Wesleyan 1, 2,3 ? The dirt field I'm talking about actually wasn't the Bird Cage, but...Wesleyan was on the list back in the day. (I feel like I need a permanent disclaimer that I graduated a while ago and had personal interests that mean I have not disliked any of these schools ...

Re: NESCAC
Perhaps anecdotal, but the team my son hated the most above all others was Tufts. A coincidence perhaps… At the end of the day almost everyone's experience is anecdotal, still relevant though. I dropped all my NESCAC dislikes years ago, but when I played Tufts was #4 for me (and there was a pretty ...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Boyden plays midfield for UVA because he was a newcomer to a team with two returning All-Americans (one a 3x 1st-Teamer and multiple Tewaaraton finalist, the other Virginia’s all-time leading scorer) and the #1 recruit in the country at his natural position, but he was too good to not have on the fi...

Re: NESCAC
To be honest, I think the “standard” that gets lectured about every year - win titles or you’re fired - is more or less a fantasy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of the Tufts people in these forums say that; it’s almost always the people who actively dislike them and are searching for problems. Ce...

Re: NESCAC
Yeah…no shot I’m rooting for a team to win three in four years instead of a team to break through after years of knocking on the door. I don’t think it will happen (think RIT will jump out early and win by 5+), but Tufts is a much better story.

Re: NESCAC
Funny to think about a road that was too tough for Salisbury/Wesleyan/St. Lawrence being viewed as an easy run, but it definitely was.
Only team I’d push back on is W&L: no one lucks into outplaying Salisbury on their own field the way they did. Tufts‘ first three games though…complete cakewalk.

Re: Salisbury 2024
Shout out to the Salisbury broadcast team, they were very good all weekend. Appreciate watching guys who take it seriously and don’t just sound like they’re rooting for their buddies (or their buddies’ kids, depending on age).

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
The women’s team also hosted, they beat W&L to get to the Final Four. Definitely prefer the WLAX tourney model of having the semis and championship on the same weekend, having the quarters and semis on back-to-back days doesn’t really give the tournament any time to breathe.

Re: Who will win the Div3 NCAA Tournament
It actually was three times. They were up three with 11 minutes to go in the regular season matchup before losing 17-16, and then never led at any point in their two rematches (NESCAC semis were 17-12, NCAA 3R was 17-8).

Re: Salisbury 2024
Also like to eventually learn if W&L had called Burns number to have a pick set and have him run from left to right from behind. Usually he is on the other side on the wing. If that was designed great call allowing him to either gain a step w the pick or just allowing him more space to gain sep...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
It seems like Washington and Lee might have a different mentality than St. John Fisher did coming into this weekend. St. John Fisher was just happy to be there and playing with house money. It’s a horrible way to approach a playoff game with a mindset of "whatever happens, happens." What’...
