The team defense on both sides was spectacular. These teams know each other and get after it. Both very good teams and well-coached.

That the Regional Rankings are data driven (SOS, RPI, etc.) and is instrumental in Pool C selections, and that the coaches and media polls are fun diversions.

Looking at the standings, there are theoretical Pool C candidates in CAC (York, Salisbury, and CNU), Centennial (Gettysburg, Ursinus, F&M, and Dickinson), Liberty (RIT, Union, RPI, and St. Lawrence), NESCAC (Tufts, Wesleyan, Amherst, Williams, and Bates), E8 (Stevens if they don’t win AQ), NCAC ...

That is last week’s poll. There will be movement this week to account for wins and losses this past week. Interested to see how the top NESCAC teams are ranked.

I overestimated RMC and underestimated HSC. Looks like the top 4 will remain the top 4 this year.

Chuck O’Connell would have a lot to add to that story since he’s been an important part of it for nearly half a century.

RMC has legitimate chances against HSC and Roanoke and could be 3rd or 4th seed in ODAC tournament. Today’s game should tell us a lot. Currently 3-1 in conference with games against HSC, Randolph, Shenandoah, Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Virginia Wesleyan.
