Re: OuttaNowhereWregget—Thoughts, ponderings, musings and such
...If I view a thread in the morning, then come back to see the 25 new posts in the evening, I am only viewing the thread once?... Correct. That's how it's programmed. Interesting, you might want to check it again. I did a test on a thread that hasn't had much activity and each time I clicked on it...

Re: Drexel
Kim has not been "hung out to dry" in any way, shape or form. If anything Drexel has done her a HUGE favor keeping the details of what happened quiet to this point. She is not in "limbo". Her situation was self-inflicted and I'm not sure why you keep harping on this when you hav...

Re: Bracketology - Always a sign The Tournament is near
Why is UConn projected to be an at large team? They have a good RPI but their SOS is 47 and their only notable win was against UMass. You answered your own question. Because their RPI is 14, and that is a metric the committee has historically fixated on. It's same metric they would use as justifica...

Re: Bracketology - Always a sign The Tournament is near
Is it common for a team like Michigan, who has a weaker RPI and finished lower in BIG10 standings (they didn’t qualify for BIG10 tournament),to leapfrog a JHU who finished fourth in the BIG10 has a better last six, and a better RPI to get into the NCAA’s? Or does Insider lacrosse just win over ever...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
i have a question if anyone knows... were most students not wearing sweatpants back then? The womens lacrosse players were a singularly special group only found talking to themselves, football players, and male lacrosse players and almost always clad in sweatpants. The crew teams which had funding ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
-Second of all a lot of kids when I was there really hated the athletes and in particular the lacrosse players who were viewed as aloof, elitist and not as bright as the rest of the student body and that was a decade before Daniels went after alumni admissions. I always liked most of them, but neve...

Re: Three questions for coach Tucker
https://iwlca.wordpress.com/2021/11/03/three-questions-for-janine-tucker/ Love the love for DGA. Never met her, but have gotten to know her daughter, Shannon. Every Loyola WLAX player learns about DGA and her legacy at the school. A great Lax HOFamer being recognized by a soon to be HOFamer herself...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
06 isn't a former player??? Yikes, I'd been assuming he was, and in my mind, deserving of a bit of slack for being so sharply critical. You can't be serious. 06? Has anyone read any of his posts? Feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Are you sure about that GPA? I think it was more likely 2.6, not 3.6....

Re: Cosida Academic All-Americans
I wonder why that is. According to the Big Ten & ACC awards, there were plenty of great players in those two conferences who maintained high GPAs this past year. Lauren Gilbert had a 4.0, for example. I know, right? Seems odd that none of those schools had one first round athlete....Sammy Muell...

Very nice. She'd do the work anyway, but the recognition is good. Congrats; you musta married well brother! [/quote] What I noticed was that there were no Women's Lacrosse AAAs (1st round) from the high Academics/high Lax schools - UNC, UVA, Duke, Hop, ND, NW, Stanford, Cuse (?). I know, no Ivies be...

Re: NCAA Petition - Let All Female Players attend the NCAA's
In response to that story from Inside Lacrosse, Liz Robertshaw (IWLCA President) tweeted the following, which points out the fact that this issue existed on the women's side pre-Covid. "Women’s teams across all three divisions have been making this same argument for years as their bench sizes r...

Re: NCAA Petition - Let All Female Players attend the NCAA's
Having said that, I just signed the petition. It is absolute silliness to think that this measure will prevent Covid. By the way, yesterday marked the lowest seven day average of infections and deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. I don't think it's a Covid related issue specifically. I beli...

Richmond is ranked 11th in this week's US Lacrosse Magazine poll. How can they justify being 11th for beating Radford, W&M, Longwood, ODU, GW, etc?laxagainsthumanity wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 5:39 pm Richmond is ranked for beating UVA on February 26... 2020. Re: 2021 Spontaneous/Miscellaneous Game Threads
And we’re headed to overtime! Hop tied it with 21 seconds left. A real pitched battle. No announcers, no score banner, no replays and one camera angle that pans to the scoreboard between goals. But the camerawork is decent and the field mics are good. I could get used to this if I had to. I'm going...

Re: 2021 Tournament Thoughts
You may be right re Big 10, but other conferences cut back on out of conference play. That is why I said “so little” as opposed to “no.” The Big 10 does present a unique issue this year. You make a decent point about limiting tournament bids to their conference winner, but I suspect the selection c...
