Re: TV Announcers Consternation Station

Do Paul and Quint realize they aren't in college anymore ? Or even close ? Please stop trying to sound like you are of the same generation that you are covering. Ugh...

Re: D1 Men NCAA Tournament

Attendance numbers for today’s game ? Anyone? Bueller Bueller ! From Patrick Steven’s twitter Announced crowd today of 8,017. Of the 47 predetermined quarterfinal sites since 1996, this was the 29th largest crowd of the bunch. For those 4 teams at Hofstra, on a beautiful day is not a good sign

Re: D1 Men NCAA Tournament

There was one angle that looked like it could have been in and I guess if the official had that exact same look he could think he was certain but that's an awful lot of ifs. That being said, not sure it changed the outcome

Re: Coaching Carousel Post-2019 Season

Quinnipiac sticking with Poli proves that the incident in the fall was not severe, which was pretty widely known, but that it was severe enough when there was basically a zero tolerance for any further incidents under Fekete's watch. Good luck to Poli and the Cats going forward. His post game interv...

Re: MAAC

Marist didn't have any answers for the zone Moran switched to last night. Not totally surprised but I thought the inexperience of the Foxes staff kind of showed itself. The higher you go the more adjusting on the fly comes into play. When the invert dragged the shortie behind the cage it was open se...

Re: Coaching Carousel Post-2019 Season

The only possible rationale is that the "drama" was a semi repeat offense from a decade or so ago that the assistants had nothing to do with but I would agree the chances of them sticking are probably not great, although that's a total guess on my part

Re: MAAC

This is the MAAC's best chance to advance since Quinnipiac did it in 2016. That team played number one Maryland tough after beating Hartford easily in the play-in game. They were a physically dominant team though, the 2019 Marist team isn't like that but has plenty of recency with UMBC and all 3 gam...

Re: MAAC

I was surprised :o to see that Marist has 22 players from Nassau and Suffolk on their roster.Likely as many if not more that SBU and Hofstra. Wilkinson has done a good job recruiting LI for a while now. Siena used to and they don't anymore. Haven't been near a title for a while either. Quinnipiac h...

Re: MAAC

I'm not allowed to shoot anymore, strictly a ssdm from here on out but my thoughts are it's probably the 2 best teams left and if Q can keep the emotional level up they will be tough to beat. Whoever has the biggest chip on their shoulder takes it

Re: MAAC

Q's seniors looked a little irritated about maybe both the MAAC awards and their season. Looked like men against boys at every position. Not a good showing from the Titans at all.

Re: MAAC

Good points from RFA and FF. I'll have to disagree with FF. While all 4 teams have their strengths and weaknesses I think Marist face off will be the difference as it has been most of the season. Agreed that Canisius is probably the opponent you wouldn't want in the first round but I think Marist g...

Re: NY Section VIII 2019 (Nassau County)

Have to say with Manhasset having the team they have this year it's too bad all the Indians supporters haven't found this site. Little bo peep, Kr, laxingli and many more must have been happy last night, probably throwing a couple back at Publicans 2.0. Looking forward to the rematch at Hofstra and ...

Re: MAAC

Think Marist is the favorite even without the home field advantage. Canisius would be the team most likely to beat the Foxes so maybe not the greatest draw. Don't see Quinnipiac having the defense to win this nor the balanced scoring. Most good teams can limit Cuomo because he's basically one way an...

Re: Massachusetts

Fair points by all. To be clear, I think Mass towns could keep every kid in the public programs and they'd still struggle against top LI teams. MA is a half to full generation behind the elite hotbeds in terms of having coaching staffs and youth programs filled out by former college players, and a ...

Re: MAAC

Wouldn't say a Siena no show, more a Monmouth having their say. QU-Detroit been a little one sided but this one could go either way and tough for Marist to beat Canisius twice in less than 2 weeks unless the Foxes are just better, then it's not so tough...
